  1. Fire everyone and replace them with Dave Ritchie!!!
  2. I'm getting killed on tsn fantasy this week
  3. Still think Picard is helping chungh more than focusing on his own game
  4. Can't argue with logic
  5. You scrolled thru the forum to find the ameet pall thread???
  6. Wonder if the slow grey cup sales are because rider fans aren't buying this year...
  7. To me, it feels like the new rules have rewarded aggressive DCs... you HAVE to blitz a lot more now, only scheme that works with new rules is overload the line and leave 5-6 DBs 10 yards back. If you have a super accurate and confident QB, you're good, if not, ugh. Through the season, this starts separating the very good QBs - Collaros, BLM, Harris - from the average - Cato, Lulay (now), Nichols I think we'll see more blowouts as the season progresses not less.
  8. Buono's comeback next up!
  9. Rotating Wild, Simmons and Bass is fine with me
  10. Wasn't he already? What was his role then?
  11. Only danger Hamilton faces is resting all their starters in the last game, getting too cocky in the playoffs... and then sleeping through the first half of the grey cup. <sobs uncontrollably>
  12. Or stop calling 50 penalties every game
  13. Teams should have to have more NIs on the PR and be given two extra roster spots for NI - biggest problem is development.
  14. Pfeffers punts were horrible
  15. Bc is a good example... Hoffman steps in and suddenly bc can't stop the run - at all - same DL, bighill still there but now a weak link is there to be exploited
  16. I would agree that cfl is more about WIL and MAC being used interchangeably but that just means you need two studs instead of one
  17. Mlb is usually responsible for shutting down rb if he gets past DL - hurl is either just used to close a gap and randle or bass have to tackle This is both scheme but also because hurl makes poor reads and has no closing speed - he's used as a pylon instead of cruise missile There shouldn't have been a learning curve for hurl - same dc as last year - no learning curve when jones brings in his guys
  18. Wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts for the leafs... Kessel shows up super buff
  19. This is the most moronic statement on this board since I tried to say Patrick Lavoie was a franchise player. Crucify Bucknor but give Hurl a pass... ridiculous. Woods, Elimimian/Bighill, Sherritt, Simpson, Reed/Lawrence Yeah, you only NEED an allstar MLB if you want to win... that's all. Moot point - Jasper Simmons replaces Hurl next week anyway. Well just as a comparison Hurl has more tackles than Sherritt does... so what's your criteria for LBs then? Passport? Hurl isn't a super star but he's not a liability either. BC has had a defence for a while that puts a lot of it on the middle linebacker, makes sense to do that when you have guys like Elemimian and Bighill back there, but that's only one way to play D. So you think Hurl is as good as Sherritt? No I'm just making a comparison of stats between one supposed elite MLB and one guy who is apparently not very good at the position. I guess that's why I didn't quote any stats... If there is one revealing stat, its that bombers are worst in the league against the run - a lot of that is on the MLB.
  20. Thanks for reminding us... Morgan instead of Lemar Durant was a tough one too
  21. We're playing eight Canadians
  22. I'm of the belief that coaches don't all of a sudden forget how to do their jobs. His resume speaks for itself as an OC - More often than not he puts together very solid offensive numbers. No one had a problem with him in Saskatchewan last year if I recall correctly until Durant got hurt, and the year before that he won a Grey Cup with the team. He obviously also had success elsewhere as an OC before that time as well. The bigger issue in BC is Travis Lulay. He's always been a bit reckless with the football, and now whether it be because of his injury history, or teams just adjusting to his style of play, he's getting bit in the butt when he tries to make plays he shouldn't make. There's also not much you can do as a play caller when your run game falters as it did tonight for the Lions. He went really conservative tonight - Cortez has done this before too - too much max protect with Harris and Leonard blocking... just feels like this style lets the opposition lets aggressive Ds keep sending everyone His half-time adjustments were decent but Lulay was off, agreed.
