Trouba was still asleep for that first goal, all the jets were... after that, I liked him. The 4th goal was just bad luck and Stuart/Trouba getting wires crossed. To me, Stuart looks like he's really lost a step in the off-season. Ladd was decent but the worst player on his line, Little was decent but our third best centre... Wheeler, Chiarot, Lowry would be my three stars

Lowry is a rockstar. Ehlers-Scheif-Perrault awesome. Really like the combo of Chiarot and Myers... Buff-Enstrom are what they are, always have been Stuart sucks, Trouba rocks Get rid of Thorbs, holding Petan and Copp back

Gap filler versus play maker equals conversation over. So, from the last interviews... Oshea gamelans for his ST and then lets them make decisions on the field... but our D must stick with their assigned roles and not make any reads? Okay, its not Hurl's fault. Makes sense if we're the best run D in the league... but we're like 2nd worst in the league against the rush. Bass has almost twice as many tackles as Hurl... must be because Hurl fills those gaps so well and lets Bass get the glory. If we're lining up on the LOS, then just play Sherman at SAM again... at least, he got a sack now and then.

And... what exactly was wrong with his long snapping? I thought it was good

1 tackle for Hurl who got more reps than Wild... even Burnett had more with a handful of snaps. Nothing for Newman either. Watch pre-snap... Wild moves around searching for a 'read', Hurl finds his assigned place and sticks with it - Burris comfort zone totally different with the two MLBs I'm a huge NI supporter but, man, stop the madness... put Sherman or Newman at Safety where Lin-J Shell is not really having a huge impact... anything other than Bass-Wild-Leggett with Burnett rotating is ridiculous.

I'd look at swapping Petan with Burmistrov... nothing against Burmi but you already have Lowry and Stafford that can shut down on the 3rd, Burmi probably allows Maurice to play 4th line more Or just leave things since we're winning...

Willy reminds me of the Dunigan days... for much of the game, we'd have this really average offence from a really average OC - then when we were down late in the game, Dunigan would take it on himself to try and carry the team to victory, probably calling a lot of the plays himself or at least reading the D on the fly - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't but it was exciting.

Head coach usually make roster decisions based on the input from Assistant Coaches... that being said, Hurl was demoted last year Its funny to hear the Wild is too small argument over and over... yet Hurl gets knocked over by the same guys that Wild stands up. Plus, I'd be surprised if Wild didn't bulk up a bit during his NFL attempt... probably 220ish now

I want to see the bombers 'win' a competition for an Asst GM or Asst Coach this off-season... not hire consolation prizes If Stubler is in his second year here, this is a different team... if we had an open OC contest, maybe Maas or Chapdelaine are here...

We've complained about this a lot... but my confusion over roster management only seems to be growing... I won't even get into the 8+ Canadians we start... but what confuses me is Jake Thomas To me, next to Westerman, Thomas is our best Cdn on defence. Took me a long time to give him his due... But, he gets really meager reps... While Bucknor plays the whole game and Wild sits for 2/3 of the game for Hurl. Only difference between Thomas having to fight for work and Hurl/Neufeld constantly getting chances is that they were high profile signings/trades... don't know how else to explain it - the drop off between Anderson and Thomas is far less than Bucknor and an import CB

Matt Nichols WAS a good QB before his injury... now he has happy feet. Had them in Edmonton, has them here. Not going to change. Willy gets that too sometimes but not as bad and has talent to cover it up. I've said before he's a poor man's willy... <insert joke here> Nichols had time last night, all those mistakes were on him and MB's schemes. OL did their job against a very good DL. To me, he is like a Bishop option... call him next season if things are absolutely flailing, after trying with a new crew...
