I dknt know her but if she has a thriving practice she probably doesn't shut it down when she's probably has partners and/or employees. She probably cares about her staff and patience. These would make her more likely to want to stay. if her other children were born here they might be more likely to want this one born here. Maybe it doesn't matter depending how far along she is they may be very against ladd plying somewhere else and not being "home" at least half the time. Even if these are all issues to overcome they can cause stress. If the Ladds had embraced winnipeg and thought they'd always be here the unknown can be very stressful. It mihjt not make them accept a lot less money but it might make them willing to negotiate.

Such a bad position for Tampa. A contender this season but will be losing Drouin and Stamkos. They want to keep Stamkos to try and make a push. But will lose him for nothing. If they trade him they likely ice any hope of a deep playoff run but get a strong return. Complicating matters is Stamkos pulling the diva routine and not wanting to waive his NTC to move before the deadline. if it's me, I cut my losses and trade them both.

Quite a turn around for perennial doormat Sabres. The question is, can the Sabres afford it? Stamkos will want near the max. Ryan O'Reilly is getting paid $7 million. Rasmus Ristolainen will likely get at least $6 million. Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichelwill need new contracts in a few years. It would likely mean the Sabres would be parting ways with Evander Kane when his contract is up.

This could be true. Maurice comments indicated pavs was in on the discussion and they made the decisions that worked for him. Could translate to "he refused"

Maurice said they discussed sending pavs on reconditioning. But I would think the fact they didn't might lend credence to the idea they are shopping him. Need to showcase him not have him play half assed on a really bad AHL team.

Id just as soon trade pavs if possible and keep hutch as back up.

This might actually mean there is a desire to try and trade pavs. Otherwise if you are going Helle and pavs next season, unless you think hutch as an RFA will bring you a high pick in a trade you might as well risk sending him down. If he's claimed so what? But if you want to trade pavs and hutch is claimed you need another goalie. So this is the only move they could make.

Was just going to say Maurice comments indicate something brewing. Called Helle assognment "in the near term". Said pavs and hutch will both play the next few games "and then we'll make decisions at that point". Sounds about the right timeline to make a trade at the deadline either hutch or pavs. Mto be honest it doesn't bother me od they keep all three. Although hutch is a free agent so he's most likely to move. If they feel Helle is ready they could try and be rid of pavs contract.

I thought about that. But I can't see the captain being traded over a contract impasse and then coming back later. If he's traded, he's gone.
