Goldkobra

It's hosted by Mike Crochet!

It won't even be that. I could respect a full on tank season and come out with a superstar like Connor Bedard at the end of it. But they won't make that call so it'll be another mediocre year in the mushy middle where we accomplish nothing.

It's not that weird. Nice people with morals and character don't get into politics.

Gettin' their first taste of gone

How do you confess to espionage without confessing to espionage? "Maybe... we should make espionage legal??"

You're more likely to encounter teams with 1, 2, or 3 wins in the first half of the season than you are in the second.

Terrible take. If a guys biggest contribution is 15 yard misconduct penalties, the hell do you need him for?

Ottawa is terrible. I still think Arbuckle is salvageable. Needs a better team around him

Can you post it on YouTube and link it for us? I'd be interested in seeing that.

Most of the challenges I'm hearing and reading about don't sound any different from any other game in a major city. I've been to NFL, NHL and MLB games in the US and Canada. They're all nightmares to get in and out of. If you drive, they're all expensive to park at. The CFL needs to come to grips with the fact that Toronto is a dead market and start paying attention to the fans that actually care.

Whats the major issue with going there? I haven't been to a game there, but i have driven by it. Seems no different from any other stadium in a big city.

Nailed it

I have got to stop taking jake weineke in my fantasy pool.

So, with long-term PR guys like Houston and Agudosi coming on and lighting it up, after languishing behind guys like mcknight, glass, josh miller etc... Do we have a talent evaluation problem? Misplaced loyalty? Or just good timing for certain guys?

They can still work. Not sure how much Flair's health has declined recently, but steamboat is still in great shape.

And there are canadian players making league minimum too. Even if you reduce the amount of NI starters that doesn't mean you cut 1 or 2 starters. The high end guys will always keep there jobs and pay checks. Its the bottom of the roster back up guys who would lose out, and for what? So a bottom of the roster american can play? No thanks.

It wouldn't.

Agree there. I think this will likely be his last meat shield.

Vincent and woodcroft would be bad choices, i think. Very on brand choices for tnse. But not flashy enough. Chevy doesn't necessarily have to hit a home run with his head coach hire. But, in order to survive another down season, he does have to look like he tried to. I think he has to go outside his comfort zone here.

.

Agreed about the salary. How do you expect these guys to want to play half way around the world if they aren't even entitled to be paid any significant money? How long do we wait? Who knows? Its not a bad idea. They just need to execute it right. If the cba gets changed so Global's can basically be interchangeable with Canadians, which i hope it does, i would be hosting a signing press conference in Hansen's home city. Talk about his contributions to the war in Ukraine. Try to create a story. Make a big deal about it.

My guess at the end game of the global initiative is to feature players from markets like Germany and Mexico, drum up interest in the game and sell tv rights to networks. So, has it worked yet? I don't think so. Could it work? Yes. Will it work? Who knows?

The utter ghoulish-ness of this is mind blowing. Loss for words.
