  1. This has been interesting to watch. If you compare this protest to similar protests that have been put on by, let's call them, more left leaning groups. The Right and Left have basically flipped sides....as in, the left want the cops to come in to clear them out, call all the protestors vile names etc and for the most part are brushing aside most if not all of the protestors demands/points etc. But when it was BLM or pipeline protests the Left was aware that there would be bad apples present and assured the media etc that it was these "agents" or "bad apples" that were responsible for any damage to property or violence etc. I think it'd be naïve to assume there are no agent provocateurs' present in ottawa right now. I also think it'd be silly to assume that everyone there truly wants the best for Canada and it's people. There's always going to be **** heads when large groups gather. Basically I just find it odd how the two bases (Left and Right) have essentially flipped sides on protestors but don't seem to realize it. They're essentially making the same arguments the other side made just months(or years) ago. But at that time, the other side was just an insane group of (hippies/antifa/rednecks/facists/etc). Something else I've thought about is IF the nazi symbols being used are in fact via agent provocateurs', what does it say that 1)nazi symbols aren't present in typical Left leaning protests. (Why only when it's the right? I think we all know why...but you'd think the organizers would be prepared for this and address it immediately and with aggression.) And 2) I have yet to see/hear anyone from a leadership group of this protest denounce those symbols or people. Maybe it's happened and I just haven't seen it, I don't watch cable news and I haven't seen anything on any SM accounts. I hope that it's happened there and it just didn't make it's way to SM. And I do not accept "ignore those people" as a solution. I've seen a few protestors say this is what they've been told...and I would not accept that as a solution to nazis. I would also warn others here to not take videos/tweets/pictures etc as gospel around this thing. They don't tell the whole story. I know of at least a few video clips that on the surface look/sound very bad...but in reality were tongue and cheek rather than hateful. Saying that, I do believe there is a large amount of information showing this protest to be what most in Canada assume it is.
  2. The issue around COVID (that've I've heard anyway...don't take this as gospel) is that because it spreads so well before symptoms appear...it could become stronger without impacting it's ability to spread.
  3. I keep seeing this online. Owners don't sign players. We know this right?
  4. I get that Reilly is a HOFer etc. But I continue to believe he was one of the main reasons they suffered so much last year. There was very little use of check downs by Reilly. He held on to the ball for far too long a lot of the time. Even while underneath routes where open. I rewatched our beat down of them this weekend and there were plenty of times where Reilly had options to go to, and he just wouldn't pull the trigger....then got sacked or had to rush a throw and it was inaccurate. There were also a good amount of drops. But I think with a different QB that knows to go to the check down early and often or at least doesn't think homerun every time, and having an all star receiver group, that O can produce.
  5. I'm not sure I get the over pay for Carey. What has he done exactly?
  6. Rogers would be nice....as a #3. Guy just doesn't stay healthy. I'm not sure he's ever played a full season before. I'd prefer a younger rec that still has some potential untapped.
  7. If Lawler is gone. Hopefully Stove is back and we can make a push for Weineke
  8. I hope we match BCs offer. Or do something close to it to keep Lawler. This team has gone too long without a star WR. We can't let one walk after 1 yr. Saying that, if BC signs him...what a rec core.
  9. Why would you put Walker in the top 5? Even Bray? But no Whitehead? Top 5 in no particular order for me, begeleton, whitehead, Lawler, Lewis and Burnham.
  10. "The Greatest loss is wasted time." ALI (R.A) I saw this quote today, and it made immediately think of this convoy.
  11. Theo Fluery told Fox news that 1.5 Million people are heading to Ottawa right now!
  12. I've wondered this as well. I spent about a decade working in that industry and a lot of truckers could be described as loners (not in a negative way). Live almost entirely in their trucks, have small families if any at all. And even when dropping/picking up trailers there is minimal if any contact with someone else...and even then it's mostly outside. But I firmly believe this protest is 100% about the $$. Someone is going to be making a lot of it through this and it's not going to change a damn thing. I feel sorry those dumb enough to join in/donate to it...well not that sorry.
  13. Henoc surprises the league and decides to NOT test FA. Reups in TO
  14. That's just the nature of the NFL beast. Whatshisface in SSK has size and age on his side compared to what Lawler has. It doesn't make sense, but it's not surprising in the least.
  15. How I'd love to see a bunch of cars block their route on portage. Wouldn't be hard to do.
  16. ok..... They asked for advice on CBD products not condescending comments. Again though you've shown that you have a lack of understanding of how cannabis (in this specific case CBD) interacts in our body and why it's not the same as "a pill for every ill". And the potential it provides for people to continue learning, growing and healing to eventually stop using it. You know...unlike prescription sleeping aids....or hell even coffee.
  17. If you're happy with the CBD results. I'd suggest going with a 20mg tweed soft gel. They are way cheaper than gummies and do the same thing. You may be able to get the same results with less, so a lower dose CBD softgel (tweed also has a 10mg one) is another option. The oils are also significantly cheaper (per dose) than the soft gels and dosing can be adjusted a lot easier. You can ask anyone in store for a 20mg CBD oil, and they'll show you what they have. And in that case 1ML = 20MG. These can be found in most retail stores. I'd say every Delta 9 location would have some, likely Tweed (stores) and Tokyo smoke as well. CBD is significantly safer than any prescription sleeping aid. Absolutely talk to your doctor, but CBD poses no risk.
  18. This is 100% correct. The "two weeks to flatten the curve" saying was really the 1st fumbling of the bag when it came to organizations communicating about the pandemic. People automatically thought, flatten the curve = over. And that was never really the case. A world wide pandemic in the age of air travel is 5 yrs minimum.
  19. I know there was... not a problem, but definitely a feeling of disappointment in the locker room around Eli and his decision.
  20. Actually I believe Naylor reported that Masoli has since been vaxxed
  21. It's not only the travel issue. The locker room is very much FIFO. He unfortunately chose to not FI...maybe he plays in the CFL, but I would be surprised if it's in blue and gold.
  22. I dont think Eli is playing in the CFL next year. The GOAT is back. Bryant has signed
  23. I've heard through the rumour mill that he is considering it. Was a hard year for him on and off the field.
