  1. #41 was bringing the pain all game long. Had some big time hits and nice tackles on Special teams.
  2. It was Dalton but I agree, the way he sold it was a big reason for it being so successful. Prukop had a few PA that completely fooled some defenders...and also me lol. I was was confused a few times last night lol. The refs missed a bunch of holding last night. No, why ruin a good thing? The blue helmets should be buried and never seen again.
  3. It's almost like this is a place to put out opinions on things that happen around the CFL...in fact, now that I wrote that out. We should really start a website like that! Honestly though, I think you're reading too much into what people are putting down here. The people who are saying they don't like him, from what I gather are saying it because of the jersey he wears not because of the talent he has/doesn't have. As far as I can see, most people want him to succeed because of the reasons you listed, it would be great for the league. That doesn't make him untouchable from other fans...or free from jokes about the attention he is getting. I ******* hated AC when he played, it doesn't mean I thought he was trash. I just didn't want him to do well against the Bombers. Likewise with Rourke, I think the media needs to put more respect on the way the Bombers handled him when he played a game against them. That does not mean I think he is a **** QB. I also think he will get an NFL shot due to his talent. That does not mean I think he should be put on the levels of the Fluties/Ray/AC/Collaros/Moon etc etc. It's hard to believe, but 2 things can be true at once.
  4. When you put context to what people are saying there's really not a lot of lane switching going on. Please, and feel free to use Google, name a CFL starting QB who has made less than 100k and put up the #'s he has? He is going to get a raise and there will be interest. That doesn't mean the non stop hand jobs from the media aren't getting to be a bit much.
  5. context matters in this case. The individuals each team brought back absolutely plays a part in the argument.
  6. Couple big time field goals, fantastic directional punting basically all year. Solid kickoffs.
  7. I think if Rourke gets hurt, it's a bad look for BC specifically because of his importance to that organization.
  8. Oh yes, you are correct. Would have needed to convert to win/tie. "Let them". No competitve team LET's someone hang around. Letting someone do something implies you had a choice. CGY played well enough to be in the game. The Bombers didn't LET them score etc etc.
  9. I think I explained quite well why it's a worse situation for the Leos and Rourke than it was for the Bombers and Ellingson.
  10. At the end of the day, dropped passes/dropped pics etc etc. They were 1 play away from winning. To me, that doesn't scream the Bombers beat the crap out of them. That was my point. The game for all the missed opportunities etc was very close right down to the last second.
  11. Right, I know he would still be their property. But because he still has 1 year left on his contract, would he be required to play under it? Or sign a new one with BC?
  12. So if he gets NFL interest...and is signed to an NFL roster...but later released and decides to come back, he would be BCs property correct? If so, would he be obligated to play under the 3rd year of his contract? Or could he sign a new deal? And what if he misses the entire 2023 CFL season?
  13. If BC lets him go for the NFL, is he still obligated to resume his contract if/when he returns? Or will he be allowed to sign a new one?
  14. Oh he did sign a 3 year deal. I thought he was on a 2 year. This makes his possible "too soon return" even more risky for BC. I wonder if that changes if he is released to pursue the NFL?
  15. I mean...they were literally a fluke last play of the game away from winning. Jordan should have caught that ball and I'd guess 8 out of 10 times he does. The narrative that we kicked their ass isn't true if they were that close to winning. No one wins because they put up big yardage. They win because they scored enough points to win. CGY was very close to us in that category.
  16. I kinda agree with you on this...but for arguments sake...Ellingson isn't starting his career, he also wasn't being presented as the future superstar for not only the franchise but the league and without Ellingson the team isn't significantly worse like it would be if the Leos lost Rourke 1 game before the playoffs. Also add in the very real possibility for Rourke to make life changing money if the NFL comes calling...which would end if he gets hurt again. Obviously that window has closed on Ellingson.
  17. Correct, I disagree with the "big" drop off aspect of what you said.
