  1. ummm. I hate to break it you. But in 2019 the Bombers...WITH Collaros were 3rd in the west. We went on the road to cgy then regina. Collaros played a huge part in both games and I'm not sure the outcome is the same if Nichols plays. BUT the Defence gave up how many TDs to ssk....in ssk? That was the start of the greatest Defence the CFL has ever seen. Without Collaros, the Bombers maaaaybe still had a chance at getting to the GC. Without the Defence playing the way they did, there is absolutely zero chance. I would post Collaros stats throughout the 2019 GC run, to show how steady, but unremarkable they were. But I can't find them because the CFL website is hot garbage.
  2. Defence was the difference in the playoffs. Collaros was average at best.
  3. no really. people get tired. Brady isn't a small guy and hits like a linebacker. We just wear the opposition down and smack them in the face in the fourth.
  4. sounds like something I'd read at riderfans. "Hope we lose" "got lucky".... No one has won more games since 2016...we're pushing a decade as a top team. 2 GC wins, 3 appearances. MOPs, MODPs, MOOL, MOR. You know what they say. Gotta be good to be lucky and lucky to be good. 5-2 after 7 games, about to punch harris and the arblows in the throat and stomp Dane evans. All by luck.
  5. That's pure revisionist history right there. Maaaaaybe in 21...maybe. But 19 was a team that got hot at the right time, and a lot of that was due to coaching decisions in the secondary and the combination of Strev and Collaros. They were not the same team as 2021. I agree on Bennet. I'll go as far as saying he won't be on the roster next year. Honestly just watch him play, he beats no one. His only play last week was when Corny rolled out to his side and the tackle essentially pushed him towards Corny, even then he was still beat to the edge and was lucky Corny can't hit the broad side of a barn. Bennet is a grade A bust imo.
  6. No it was Man coverage, at least on Houstons side. He bit on a double move and then stubbled/played his recovery horribly and that was that. It happens. Situational awareness is needed there, but every single db gets got at some point. He does it clean too. No PIs called against him that I can remember.
  7. Watching Briggs out there was painful. Guy is hard worker forsure. But much like Bennet, should not he getting the reps he is. Shout out to Holm for knocking down that deep ball late in the 4th in one v one coverage. Huge play!!
  8. Wait...isn't Eli 67?
  9. From where I was the hit from Cole looked to be helmet to helmet. I assumed that's why it was called. “I’m a little beat up but I’ll be alright,” he said, appearing in good spirits. “That’s football, you’re gonna take some hits like that and so is what it is.” quote from him in a 3down article.
  10. Well...they did almost everything they could to throw that game away. Ugly win, but I've seen uglier. Oline is officially a problem. There were a couple plays to be made out there but Collaros couldn't step into the throws. I'm not too down on Buck after that game, though the predicable run game for the first 3 Qs was frustrating. But Brady also just flat out missed some holes. Defence, holy hell do we need some DE depth. Hopefully Haba is back after the break, because if I have to watch Bennet come in for Jeffcoat on passing downs 1 more time I'm going to lose it. Bennet has a lot of fight and puts in a lot of effort. But it's literally all for nothing. The guy should just not being seeing the field as much as he is. Castillo showing he is human. Seems the entire team is struggling right now. But it's a good time to have those. Shout out to Johnny A and Mcrae for the solid hands on those short kick offs Edmonton was doing (which I love and want the Bombers to do) got 2 holding penalties too, but was solid in the 4th
  11. Someone screen shot this for later
  12. To be fair, Zach said the same thing about Darvin Adams in an off season....Adams wasn't re-signed because it was obvious he wasn't the same wr anymore. Zach is a true leader, and that means he will never throw anyone under the bus.
  13. I usually thought that way too. But in the BC game specifically, our O seemed to take a step back. The misdirection/PA etc just wasn't there. There's obviously reasons that change play calling etc through out a game, but even to start the game, the play calling was bland. So I'm assuming the game plan was trash from the jump. And BC came in and just shocked them (Buck).
  14. How no one has picked him up, boggles the mind.
  15. No I do not. As I've stated previously. But I'm also not hoping for a loss. I've said a few times, if changes are coming...which I really hope they are...it'll be after the bye-week. The OTT game maybe made those changes more urgent. But MOS sticks his guns for better or worse, so I still see it going that way. I stand by in game coaching/game plans as the #1 reason for both losses. Buck and Hall need wake the **** up. I have faith Buck will, I think Hall won't and it will depend on the talent he's given in the next few months for this D to turn around their play. But going into the year, this was going to be the Offenses time to pull the team up. And with the talent they have on that side, we shouldn't be kept out of the endzone for more than a few drives at a time. Never mind entire games/halfs/quarters.
  16. I disagree. I'm not even arguing that our Roster management isn't an issue. But I don't buy it being a main factor in either of the losses. Nor do I think it should be a reason to hit the panic button...just yet.
  17. I disagree. Hall called essentially the same play for more than half that drive. Plays that hadn't worked all half. Coach's put the players in a position to lose. When they punted, I immediately thought....ok we're going to send 3, drop 9 and make this QB beat us with his arm and make him think. Instead Hall continued to run his no disguise blitzes...with admittedly tired players. Maybe another one or two DE makes a bit of difference....but again, the O put up how many points in the second half? That drive shouldn't have even mattered.
  18. great reply. Keep pretending to know better than a 6 time GC champion player and coach. Move on to a new team.
  19. How did our roster management stop Bryant from blocking Betts. How did our roster management tell Hall to continue using a blitz scheme that a rookie QB beat for 20+ minutes? How did our roster management make Schoen drop a ball he catches 99 times out of 100? How did our roster management force Buck to run the same play twice in a row after it hadn't worked all night? Like wise, how did our roster management make us score 24 straight points to come back and beat the stamps? How did our roster management make us put up 21 first Q points against Hammy? There hasn't been much turn over and you guys love to talk about losing games as if some PR player was on the squad it would have made the difference in either of the losses and that's straight up BS. We lost because of shitty game plans and lack of execution. You can have an all star squad (like we do) and you're gonna lose more than you win if that's what happens day in and day out. This team is 4 and 2. Not 2 and 4. I'm not happy about what's gone on this week, but I'm not hoping for a ******* loss either. I agree on the OL NOW. But before BC they were still the talk of the town. Against OTT there was concerns building that I think should be addressed now. But again, I don't see how anyone can seriously put the roster management as the main reason for either loss this year. That's trying to be the smartest guy in the room imo.
  20. Our roster management has cost this team exactly zero losses. There's literally no proof otherwise. We've had the same roster for wins and the losses. Execution and play calling is what has cost this team.
  21. https://shop.goelks.com/collections/mens-jerseys Thought I'd help you out.
  22. According to some, we've already lost. This place is getting back to the good ol days! Lol.
  23. I thought they'd come back after the by-week. I don't like it....but I don't hate it either.
  24. Nuef has struggled a lot imo. He's getting flat out beat, often. That and there seems to be a bit of miscommunication between him and Kola sometimes. You can see them discussing something after Collaros is on his ass.
