  1. it's actually a metaphor for life!
  2. Anyone have a link to stream todays game?
  3. Yea, should be single vote. Seems a lot more accurate that way. Of course you did, you're a worthless rider homer. So now you're going to take potshots at me over a stupid poll? Come on. shut up rider fan!
  4. wild hurt for a couple games, Anderson lost for the season, vega playing injury all year...can you think of a defence that would be successful with as poor a defensive line as the Bombers had this year?Don't forget, sears, sherman, washington, kuale, newman, johnson, fraser....all players who missed some time if not the entire season. I think there may be a couple more but I can't remember.I think the debate on Etch is was the failure of the D in the second half of the season due to 1) rest of the league figured out his schemes or 2) injuries. In my opinion it's more a systemic problem with the schemes. option 3: offense couldn't stay on the field and the defence predictably gave up more yards as a result. Excuses. Like I said earlier, all teams deal with injuries. You can only use that crutch for so long. You think MOS used injuries as an excuse when they lost? I never heard any of that. Just that they have to play better. So, if the players don't get off easy then why should any of the coaches? If you look at the first quote, pigeye is saying the O had an excuse in injuries....while the defence didn't. The following posts after that are simply answers stating, that if the O can use injuries as an excuse and that's ok in your (pigseye) eye. Then why not the D as well? I don't like using injuries as excuses either. But they certainly play a factor. As for us not being able to stop the run, if we had converted more field goals into touch downs, we would have forced the other teams to throw rather than run. And it wasn't like we didn't have opportunities to do it, how many times did we settle for 3 in the red zone?
  5. it's like you read my mind

And you know, I agree. He's schemes didn't work a lot of the time and often had me scratching my head. But like I've posted a lot of times before. If the offence could have put up even 10-15 more points in a game. We would have a very different record. How it's the DC's fault for the offences lack of scoring is beyond me. Also, I don't think only one coordinator can take the blame. Both their systems worked against each other. They didn't compliment each other. But if one has to stay. I'd prefer it be etch.

  8. MB is the larger issue.
  9. no the bombers have to have a better record to cross over.
  10. Any one who watched Grigsby play here knows that it doesn't matter one bit what he does in Hamilton. Guy was too soft and too much of a sissy as a running back to be effective in Winnipeg. It's an easy position to recruit for, why settle for someone who goes down on contact that easy and hesitates before hitting the line of scrimmage? Any scouting department worth it's salt should be able to find runningbacks who can do the job. The fact that Cotton when given the ball looks better should show that Grigsby ain't worth worrying about. It's only two games, but realistically the guy (Cotton) has had limited reps and it does take some time to get your timing down in game speed, plus the whole offense was a train wreck in Edmonton (for some reason, Willy and the Offense match up extremely poorly against the Edmonton D - 3 points at home in their first game and 3 points in real time, 6 in garbage time, here in Edmonton). I hoping Cotton has another strong game. But.... I'll be watching Grigsby to see if he's a liar (the fact it was 'him' against the world here) or telling the truth. yeah, I'd chalk it up to the fact that they have a crazy powerful D-line, and we have a shitty offensive line This but also game planning. How we don't game plan against that is beyond me....no tightend sets...no screens etc etc. MB should take a lot of the blame for that game as far as I'm concerned.
  11. He was ranked in the top 15 prospects by central scouting and was considered a decent steal in the 4th round. HEY NO FACTS! Every other GM in the history of sports has perfect draft picks except dirty mack!
  12. I think the blame is on both sides of the ball. Our Defense seems to be built to play with a lead...but our offence is new, so it's fairly predictable that they would struggle at some point. The offence struggles, the defence gives up some points (which is going to happen no matter how good you are) and everything snow balls....teams run against us to kill the clock....we can't run cause we're down...other teams go hard at the qb....etc etc It just piles up. I'd prefer to start next year with 2 new coordinators. But if I had to choose one to leave and one to keep. I would keep MB and find a new DC.
  13. I have this problem...however I don't pay for cable and have rigged it up myself to show the basic stuff. It sucks but I don't pay anything so I can't really complain.
  14. wtf? Have you been paying attention at all? Did you just read that one post and think that's exactly how it happened??? OR did I just entertain a troll....damn it!!
  15. I don't know about overrated but if we're looking for someone who won't quit.....might want to look another way.
  16. Exactly. Bryant isn't scaring anyone. It's sad if Bryant is the guy we're relying on to stretch the field. I'm sorry that you can't tell Bryant is the faster of the two. I'm not sure what else to say.
  17. It has nothing to do with who has had the better year. They want more speed on the field. Kelly isn't running by anyone. Bryant can open it up. End of story.
  18. I hope we see the Cotton that appeared in the pre season.
  19. The logic is...we're screwed and need anyone who has thrown a football within the last 30 months. Well, here's hoping DD returns in time for the playoffs, and in the meantime Sunseri can put a full 4 quarters of football without any major disasters... NOOOOOO, here's hoping DD can't return until mid season next year and riders don't win another game for the rest of the year.
  20. The logic is...we're screwed and need anyone who has thrown a football within the last 30 months.
  21. he inherited Durant that's the only one. His usual MO if he needs to find his own qb is look around the league at backups and get one of them in hopes they can start. Worked out pretty well for him with Khari Jones and Kevin Glenn. Now my timing is fuzzy, but was Taman the Riders GM when they brought in Drew Willy? I meant, has he ever brought one up to the CFL. I know how he got Jones and Glenn and Durain't. Just wondering if he's ever brought some up that have stuck. I seem to remember him being fairly bad at that while here.
  22. Has taman every found a QB? Or has he just inherited the decent ones?
  23. my streaming site has been blocked at work. Thanks for the updates guys.
