That was a fun game to watch and a huge surprise! Say what you want about the defense, but they have held two of the top offenses (one on a historic pace) in check in back to back games. There were some pretty obvious communication errors on passing plays, especially when MTL was coming out for their first play of the drive...Bombers need to have more urgency there. Offense finally played 4 quarters!! Scored a TD in ever quarter, kept the run game going, completely owned the mtl blitz all night. It wasnt just Alexander whining all night. At one point in the game I count 5 consecutive plays where at least 1 Alouette was complaining to a ref after the play. It was pathetic, just play the game fellas. They've done enough to give me hope for next week!!!

You're missing the point. Yes Smith worked his way to the top. But had he stopped playing after last year (For reasons that do not include the team moving on from him)...you would have been talking about how he wasn't good enough to become anything...and as we see now, that is not the case. Players stop playing for multiple reasons...not just because they aren't good enough. So when a guy on our bench doesn't appear anywhere else in the league and we wonder why...the answer isn't automatically "he's not good enough to play".

Honestly, the O isn't bad. You don't put up 300+ yards in 30 minutes if your bad. That 2nd half was once again all on the play calling. RB has over 100 yards from scrimmage and then you just refuse to use him again? Or the 2 times you do, it's predictable. Condell has been a complete bust this year, at least with Hogan he had the excuse of being a rookie OC who could get better. Condell is too experienced to be making the choices he is, and to be getting completely out classed game in and game out.

That is a fair point. However, just because they don't go to another team and become a star doesn't mean they were given a fair shake here. There are any number of reasons why guys who leave a team might not play for someone else. Again...I feel like I'm just constantly repeating this. Playing football is a two way street. The player has to want to play as well. Smith is great example of this, in his interview with Tait, he said last year was a tough year due to stuff off the field and he wasn't sure he'd want to continue playing. Had he retired, the narrative of a waste of talent/being held back/not being good enough to be a star, would have been about him. Guys decide to stop playing football and it's impossible to tell whether it's lack of interest from teams or lack of wanting to play.

I'm over the Woodbey experiment. That missed tackle against Rankin was god awful and honestly pathetic. He's a back-up and likely a solid ST. But no way I'd want him starting anymore.

Watching Oleary Orange go up and make that catch in double coverage after watching Cobb flail away against Ottawa, was sad. You think a guy who sits on the bench/PR all year and watch Cobb or any number of other less talented players or even just guys who don't get the job done will want to re-sign with team? You can blame Walters, but again...signing players is a two way street. The players have to want to be here too. And if they feel like they won't get the chance to prove themselves because of a head coach....why would they stay?

Ive said it before and it is still true. Condell has no sense of feel for a game. Goes away from what's working, doesnt set anything up, just odd choices at odd times. Pair that with a qb who can hit a wide open rec in stride to save his life and this is the inevitable result.

They didnt....because theses refs made another bone headed call. Only turn overs are reviewed. All the refs had to do was call it a pick and it would have been looked at. Though, I will say I thought it would have gone to the O anyways
