He retired and said F U to the CFL based on horrible he was treated. Don't you remember Kelly demanding him to take a pay cut mid season because he was injured (only after being put in a position of where he was getting hit frequently since the plays kelly designed took forever to develop therefore he had to hold onto the ball very long). Lefors was the guy who beat out Jyles (don't care if you think he sucked but he wasn't that bad) and then was traded to Winnipeg for a 1st rounder... the guy was talented.

Troy Smith has the tools... but I wouldn't quite say he's going to be elite in the CFL just yet. He at least has the arm to make the throws which is already better then anything we have now.

Why Lefors played perfectly fine , it wasn't his fault that the play calling was the drizzling shits. Rewatch those old games... the receivers were continually confused on what to do and Lefors made smart throws whenever he could. Lefors was a good qb, just played on the worst O this club has seen even including this year..... the only difference was in that season after he was hurt and Bishop went in... Kelly at least put out an average typical CFL offense and the team could move the ball and not go games where they could only get 15 yards passing in a half!

In fairness Garrett had wide open holes to run into and he was coming off a pretty serious injury so I had no issues with him being cut. It wasn't like we expected Simpson to get hurt and that our o line would be so dreadful. Next season I say bring in Andrew Harris, if not him then bring in a new back that is a bit more durable and who can block and catch out of the backfield.

Pierce was starting qb in a Grey Cup year, so he's out. Otherwise, for expectations vs performance Austin would be the right choice for the worst of that category. Last two seasons pierce was garbage

I watched the game.... Drew Willy looks OK but I'd much rather we go for Collaros or Burris in the off season. Marshalls run defense is just awful. The Riders did not look sharp... If Lulay is healthy and plays the whole game I can see BC winning. Tino Sunseri is nothing special his stats really didn't reflect his decisions and accuracy.

Whoever says tee martin was this bad needs to gtfo. Not even remotely close to even the top ten worst qbs we seen in the last 20. Honestly with mechanics and decisions Boltus definitely could be the top spot. If we are basing it off how much they were paid and expectations then top three would be Austin, Bell and Pierce

Hackney wasn't a really big deal at the time, I remember watching him at Training Camp... big arm but he didn't fit whatever Kelly's system was at the time. I can think of a lot of guys that stunk it up for the Blue.... Boltus is definitely up among the crappiest.

Wow, there's a good measure of how messed up this season has been; we've been so bad this year that by the end of the season 17to85 had a kind word for Mike Kelly. Tim Burke is so bad as a head coach it makes me wish we still had Mike Kelly.... it's a damned terrifying thought. Kelly at least looked like he gave a damn and was at least trying to win. I don't know about protecting players.... He did totally throw lefors under the bus

You think Calgary would have found a way to coach Goltz into any kind of successful? The guy is Russell Wilson without any remote semblance of accuracy... Isn't Goltz like 6'5 and fast while Russell Wilson is like 5'10 average speed but strong arm?

Regardless he may be on the trading block after the season? If logan is back for the long haul it makes sense.

I can't believe Montreal gave that game away.... partially bad breaks but lots of mental breakdowns. That game could of been a 30 point romp for them......
