Once again Silicon Valley and Eastbound and Down... So good

Airport and near U of W for Harveys... Its adequate. Fatburger taste good but the price is still high. For fast food chains I find A and W the only one that tastes real.

Olli wasn't that bad... He just didn't justify the big contract and as mentioned before he didn't play big.

Why in the world is Bolland getting 5.5 million per year??? Why would the Avs pay huge money for a 37 year old and not on Stastny?? Some real head scratchers on some of the teams signings....

I think people are excited because he looked good in pre season and even better in reg season.

I went to 5 Guys on Regent for a 2nd time.... I still came away unimpressed. 17 dollars for a bacon burger + reg fries + drink is ridiculous. The patties were smaller then McDonalds regular hamburger patties.... the meat has no spices or anything added to it.... the toppings were nice but no different then what they offer at Harveys. The fries are nice but not outstanding. I have no idea why anyone would pay that much when for half the price you can have double the amount of food at Zaxx or Dairy Delight and those places actually have chili and flavour in its burgers. Big thumbs down for 5 Guys from me.

It's true... I looked at the list and you have a bunch of guys making Ollie or more money and they end up scoring as many points as a Frolik and they usually don't have a good two way game. http://www.capgeek.com/free-agents Outside of Stastny ... their is no real superstar free agents on the market. Most of the guys are either washed up or good depth players.

The extra week doesn't necessarily give Ottawa an advantage.... the team will be rusty and needs some game time to get comfortable. I'm sure Burris will be *on* but I'm unsure of the defense and if Burris is pressured... will the running game and the receivers step up? In Pre season Burris had all the time in the world to throw the ball and he dropped perfect passes to these mostly no name receivers....

No doubts.... I'd rather the team keep focusing on the young guys ... who knows maybe in a year or two Petan and Kosmachuk join the team and light it up and by that time Schiefle is an all star.... I can see the Jets signing a decent FA or two... but they won't make a big splash. No need to.

Higgins... Dinwiddie... Popp it doesn't make a difference when the qb has time to set his throws and still ends up sailing the ball 5 feet above the receivers head..... *If* Smith keeps it up he will be a coach killer.

What's wrong with the Thorburn signing? The guy is a good community guy, plays with a lot of grit and a bit more versatile then Peluso. If he was such garbage then why did San Jose make a pitch for him at the trade dead line? For that small price it's a decent signing. While it would be awesome to sign some huge superstar.... I would like to know which guys are available right now? I direct this question to Goalie as he makes it seem like every single other team is signing superstars left and right and the Jets are standing pat.

I wouldn't expect the Jets being able to sign any top free agents.

Typical TSN. Couldn't they give their sideline guy an umbrella?? Mickey Mouse. They have such a good panel in the studio then cheapen the broadcast with guys like Rod Black doing pbp & expect their sideline reporter to perform like a professional in a monsoon. It just makes no sense. We could hear water hitting mics all game. If those were sideline mics why wouldn't they turn them down. Just weird production. They go to the sideline guy and his mic is dead. They didn't test it? Having Rod Black makes no sense either as he is despised by just about everyone yet, there he is... I still like the "early season form" about DA that was classic.

It's the CFL who knows what will happen. I'm hoping BC and the Riders both get crushed that would be awesome. It will be a very interesting week of football that is for sure.
