  1. Directed by Stephen Chow of Kung Fu Hustle and Shoalin Soccer fame.... those are some really fun movies to watch,
  2. You definitely were the only one talking blasphemy earlier in the season about Wild and him being replaced.
  3. It's weird seeing movies these days geared to the audience in China... Maybe they are trying to do something similar to The Last Samurai?
  4. McDuffie had zero room on his returns... he was far from awful. I didn't watch closely but on defense it sure seemed like our guys played waaaaaaay off with massive cushions for the receivers.
  5. Is it safe to say that we can pin the blame on Hall and his style? Why were guys seemingly wide open in the last quarter with us only rushing 4???
  6. How can't you pin it on the D? Nicholls put up more then enough points and yards. Just once the defense had to make a stop in the 2nd half and they couldn't. BC wasn't pulling out trick plays or making highlight reel catches. It was runs up the gut and generic passes that shredded us. That's embarassing.
  7. Will you be doing one last O & S for the game or season?

Doesn't GSP walk around 200 lbs... McGregor is way to small to fight GSP.

I'm glad they didn't stop the fight, he was still defending himself and was able to come out in the 3rd round.
  11. Hutch was good during the game. Lots of guys played decent games. I thought the only ones who were struggling was Wheeler and Chiarot.
  12. Sorry if I didn't make it ridiculously clear that you couldn't pick up on it. The team is not expected to be in the play off hunt later on in the season as they are full of young players and the franchise overlords would be pleased if these young players show progression even if they end the season out of the playoffs. Is that better?
  13. My point is that the ownerships realistic expectations is for the young guys to grow and for the team to make the play offs. Clearly the coaches and players are trying to win and WANT to make the play offs. The expectations for this club is continued growth with major growing pains. if you think that the ownership and management will think this season is a failure if they don't make the playoffs then you are dead wrong.
  14. Shameless plug.... on the Xbox One I created a club called: Winnipeg Old Man Gamers My goal was to create a club for anyone who wants to play with veteran gamers (i.e. Not kids who play 10 hours a day and then proceed to sound like PewDeePie when you are online). Invite peoples if you decide to join!
  15. Lawless has said many times that the club is focused on building on the next few years rather then trying to win now. Numerous times he and the hockey experts on his show have said that the Jets are not focused on getting into the playoffs this season and are trying to build and develop the guys so that the team will compete in the next few years. If (when) this team doesn't make the playoffs do you think they axe Paul Maurice and rebuild completely? If this club were all about making the play offs now then the tell-tale sign would of been to keep Pavs on the roster and send down Helle for more experience in the AHL.
  16. It was the one that I posted from the link from Costco a page or two back in this thread. I believe they are still making the same models from the same factory out of Mexico...
  17. The franchise is not banking on this team making play offs and/or doing anything deeper then that. Trouba's long term health is way more important then trying to win one or two games early in the season. The goal this season is to show improvement and develop the younger players. This has been talked about non stop by the local media. Making the play offs this year is a nice bonus and nothing more. If it were all about winning the cup the team would of traded Trouba a long time ago and would be unloading young guys for vets who can play now.
  18. I've been using my tv extensively over the last month and I can definitely verify that Sharp still makes a very high quality product. My sofa is 18 feet away from the tv and I found that with that distance a 75" tv is the absolute perfect size for it. My recliner where I play lots of xbox games sits around 13 - 14 feet away and on a slight angle from the tv and it is also very comfortable on the eyes. Anything closer I would think the tv would be to large in size to watch comfortably. For the model that I purchased, the FALD does look nice, I have looked closely on games/movies during darker scenes and it does a real good job of keeping the darker areas more black while lighting up the other areas which are brighter. I can't remember what Sharp calls its "smoothing" option, but I had set it on minimum because if you have it on the maximum the soap opera effect is way to distracting and for me it gives me a headache. On the lower setting the faster scenes do look smoother and it doesn't have that weird look to it. The blacks are above average , not as deep as what I saw on the Sony but it's far from being anything that looks washed out or having a tinge of gray in it. The image quality is razor sharp, games look absolutely amazing on it. The smart tv functions are average at best, not as good as most other brands. I've been playing a lot of Forza Horizon 3 as of late and it is jaw dropping gorgeous of a game and the tv really shows this off well. The colors on the tv are very vibrant. I am going to buy an Xbox One S this Holiday season and will see if the HDR support on the game will make any difference at all. I've watched some 4k content and it of course looks absolutely insane. Overall for a $3200 dollar tv this is a great buy and I definitely would recommend it for anyone who wants 75" and that doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg. The difference between this tv and the LG and Sony that are double in price is absolutely minimal at best.
  19. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=142313 http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?encode=TRUE&pid=96549 Phillips is having a great season... 10 wins ... zero losses.... 2.16 GAA and 931 save %. This guy will be the Moose back up next year.
  20. Crazy that a guy was benched for the play offs... it's a good sign that the club at least is making these moves.
  21. They should allow awards to Cross Over..... Coach of the East had a sub 500 record... *If* Fogg return tds had all counted and had he played great in the last 3 - 4 games then I would of picked him easily as the ROTY. Daniels was a good choice.
  22. I would assume *if* Trouba is not in game shape that they want to avoid risking him pulling something or injuring himself by inserting him in the line up to soon. It's not like this season we are in the play off hunt and where every game counts. No need to rush the guy.
