  1. Feoli-Gudino looked pretty quick on the first day of camp, getting open consistently, but he was having trouble catching the ball. Glad to see he is now making some plays. IMO now the frontrunner for backup canadian receiver.
  2. Kind of sounds like Bucknor might have the inside track for that field CB position, with Donavon Alexander being a decent backup. It's good that these guys showed up as I think Robertson and Jones will need some time to be able to hang with the pros.
  3. Probably shouldn't be reading into it too much but...seemed a little weird to me that once he got hurt he was just standing on his own on the sidelines, rather than be involved with the rest of the position group (even if he wasn't doing the drills). Could also just be freeing up a position while he recovers. Who knows.
  4. Thanks Rich. Cya'll there tomorrow
  5. Great site. Responsive, pretty, and our members are not bad too.
  6. Darren Cameron just tweeted something about training camp being at 8:30? Is it 8:30 or 7:50? Can someone confirm?
  7. I don't remember where I saw it but there was a video featuring Kashawn Fraser, and they were saying that he's shown well so far. Edit: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What Goalie said.
  8. I believe O'Shea was on record saying they don't really have to but there may be a small amount of cuts made.
  9. 15k is a pretty big payday. That's ridiculous if you ask me.
  10. I don't remember Darrel Hackney being any good outside of his strong arm.
  11. Darrin stole my scoop. I'll get him! I like Moseley, he actually played alongside Khalil Mack in college and he's a big big body at 6'5" He'll be a factor in the competition at DE Especially if there is a competition for flashiest shoes. He was sporting lime green ones yesterday.
  12. Random-ish thought: I think Hall will be a very good backup QB for us. Can easily come in and do the job if Drew is struggling.
  13. Agreed on Cotton. When all of the RBs were doing the ladder drills with Buck, I thought he looked the quickest and most precise in his steps (shows good balance and quickness I guess). As for the interception, it was a 1 on 1 drill. The receiver runs a route and the QB throws the ball to the spot. It was actually a well thrown ball, it's just that Matt Pierce absolutely read the mail of the route being run and got there before the receiver. I think the QB knew it was going to be intercepted before he even threw it...but it's just a drill and he had no other options. That's how I saw it anyway.
  14. I think the high number of imports brought in to compete for o-line spots is a good thing. I especially like how they brought in some interior guys. In past years there wasn't as much pressure on our interior NI guys because there were no imports to push them.
  15. I know it's early and they're very new to the team but I didn't think much of Robertson or Jones tonight so hopefully Alexander and Bucknor can hold it down at the far corner.
  16. We also had a good view of the punters. Lirim Hruuuuuuuuuuuugh and Brett Maher can both boot 'em. Pretty consistently getting them from one side of the field to the other (55-60 yards) with good hang time. Someone tell me that I'm exaggerating. The long snapper (Sean Blake) looked pretty good at long snapping. That's good because that's probably all he really does.
  17. Oh did anybody else see the guy that was running around on the far side of the field? At one point he took off in a sprint and looked like the next coming of Donavan Bailey. Wow was he FAST. I thought it might be Aaron Woods.
  18. I agree with a lot of what AKAChip said. Honestly I mostly watched the QBs and the receivers. QBs - Willy looked pretty good. Good zip on the ball. Quick decisions. Nothing overly flashy but I thought he was throwing the ball accurately. Hall was his usual self, decides where he's going to throw it, and it may be into a swarm but he does get it there. Marve may have the tools but he was showing a lot of "deer in headlights" not knowing where to go with the ball at times. Would say that Brohm had him beat out in that respect, but a lot of the time Brohm was just making the easy throw (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). I think Brohm also comes off as the stiff, sit in the pocket NFL QB, but I may be wrong. WR - Mario Urrutia was getting a lot of throws and looked fairly shifty and speedy with the ball in his hands (especially for a big guy). Agreed that he had some of the better hands today. I would say C.J. Tarver had pretty good hands as well. He is a very interesting player. At times it didn't even look like he was trying to outrun people, but was still outrunning them. Kemp, well, let's just say Mike that you didn't stay long enough to see some of his good work. I know what you mean though, early on he was flat out dropping balls and didn't look super great. But in 1 on 1s he looked dominant against some of the DBs out there. Ran crisp, fast routes and made some of the DBs look silly. But also dropped one in Skelly late. Taylor Renaud looks to be one of the depth guys that could stick around. He had more than one good catch out there today. But again, the level of competition he was facing wasn't exactly stellar. I don't know if I have any more to share, but I'll let you know if I think of something.
  19. Doesn't look like size is going to be our thing on defense.
  20. Excited to see Johnny Sears as a safety. We'll finally see some plays made from that position. Haven't seen that in a while..
  21. I'm going tonight. Should be a nice evening to relax and watch the cuts - i mean players run around.
  22. It was pretty clear a while ago that we were going to start an NI at corner, and that it wasn't going to be rotating. The rotating positions will likely be DT, LB and S for the 7th NI. Passing downs it will be a DT or LB. 1st down we might put the NI at safety. It's all going to be situational.
  23. Must have been the same hacker that got to Kevin Glenn's account.
  24. True but QBs are the exception, they are all expected at rookie camp regardless of veteran status. Right but the context is the CBA in which they are considered veterans I guess. But as was mentioned it doesn't expire until Thursday. So I might attend Wednesday.
