Of course, but a lot of pretty deluded people think otherwise. And Trump has a track record of making life easier for certain corporate concerns (tax cuts, massive deregulation)

Big part of this is a lot of the MAGA folks, caught in a intellectual and emotional cul-de-sac. For years, they have been bombarded by right wing media, telling them that are "victims" of many insidious forces - Immigrants, foreigners, media, and the traditional institutions of government, (deep state) that have banded together to deny them, what they truly deserve. This also ties in well with the general xenophobic and racist thinking in certain quarters on the Right Hatred of the "elites", also is handy for resisting environmental concerns, and debunking higher education and science. On the surface, pretty strange that some working people still look to Trump - who manly fights for the 1%ers, dividend holders and other "elites", to protect their interests. But, Trump has to be right.....or every thing they have been told, and believe is a total lie and a giant fraud. Too bad.....it is.

Well, the COVID-19 outbreak was identified in South Korea and in the United States on the same day. After struggling with previous responses to SARS and MERS, the SD government had drawn up a specific pandemic playbook based on test, trace, isolate - high tech contact tracing, massive amounts of tests produced quickly, and Zero-Tolerance Isolation measures. As well, the activation of consistent messaging - daily briefings by scientists and medical experts, only .....to update the public and promote best practices,such as social distancing and hand-washing, regardless of location. Today, South Korea has fewer than 300 deaths.....the U.S. more than 70,000. Not even going to belabour the sorry specifics of the Trump Administration's efforts in dealing with this crisis. Posted a couple of months ago, that thousands of Americans would die needlessly. Hoped I was wrong, but.....here we are.

Well, one way or another.....there will be a triumph held in Washington.... A bigly, huge, tremendous parade, in an endless victory lap, that will put Putin and Kim to shame, while celebrating this amazingly terrific success story. Featuring a Grand Leader float, with Trump, wearing an Orange toga, and having some lackey holding a wad of dollar bills over his head. The procession will end up in the Senate House, with Trump being declared dictator, by acclimation, while heavy armed MAGA types ring the building. Afterwards, a giant bonfire of science books.

Would be better to get back to basics, on this. Joe Biden is like anyone else in the public eye. He can admit or deny the charge. Reade's original complaint made on the Hill is going to come out. This week, CBS, Washington Post, The Times, CNN and others have run editorial statements, calling on Biden to address Reade's accusations. In his case, Biden has publicly denied them, on national TV. So, the marker is up there now..... either compelling evidence, incoming....or there is not. Biden will simply have to take his chances, just like everybody else. If the case can be made, he should pay the legal price, and regardless, the Dems would end up with somebody else on the top of the ticket. Time will tell.

What's with that Tony Montoya piece? This patriot, should devote his energies to doing something really useful.....like shipping overseas and wiping out the Taliban, or something.....
