Stupid f**king people would rather lie & risk ending up in hospital & spreading disease (or worse) than admit to travelling somewhere and having to self-quarantine for a couple weeks.

I watched it on Crave but there are versions of part 2 on youtube (not as good quality as part 1 though - at least as of last night). They talk about the tribute & go more into possible causes in part 2 so I won't go into it yet until people have had a chance to watch.

Just watched the Vice documentary on Chris and Nancy Benoit... whew that was emotional. Very well done and a must watch for wrestling fans. Lots of stuff on Eddie in the 1st half, which is also pretty heartbreaking. My respect for Jericho is on a whole other level now.

Was in section S, row 2 for that game. Bonkers is right... longest ovation I can ever remember.

He's definitely still there and no he is not taking covid seriously enough. It's not a pandemic in his expert opinion and he's not going to abide by any quarantine rules because he's all about living in the moment. 🙄 He says he's lost over a thousand followers and two sponsorships already and that's just from Winnipeg.

Here's a new resource Manitobans can use if they are in need of some help during this period. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/brian-pallister-covid-19-online-tool-1.5506948

Where are you working during the Covid-10 shutdown - March 23rd
bigg jay replied to JCon's topic in General Discussion
Working from home at the moment. I'm in the middle of jumping from one project/department to another though so I'll have to go into the office at least once (probably twice) over the next couple weeks to clean out my desk and return some equipment. Back to the home office after that for the next while. -
Until GC, this was my favorite moment I was able to see live. Didn't think anything would ever beat it... I was wrong!

Yep. Work off-line as much as possible and then connect when you need to. It doesn't affect me much but my wife is already wondering how she'll stay busy... and we've barely started the day!
-
Also fortunate that my wife and I can work from home, the new snag is that the government vpn can't handle all the traffic so they are recommending people stay off it as much as possible. That'll make it tough for a lot of people to get anything done.

Yep, Manitoba is now recommending 14 days isolation for anyone who has traveled anywhere internationally since March 1st. By back-dating it to the 1st, this now applies to me and my wife so we're home bound for the next 6 days (it's retroactive to the day we returned from the US).

Vignettes might be a good way to properly introduce some of their lesser known talent too. That's one area I feel like AEW has dropped the ball a bit. They could do something like what ECW did when they starting airing on TNN... the 1st episode did not have a single new match, it was all pre-recorded promos & match highlights to introduce their big stars. Obviously AEW doesn't have to do that for their top guys but there are a number of guys who could benefit from the air time, especially with a 2nd show coming.

So when can we expect the WWE announcement about Mania?

My office is normally a ghost-town because the majority of us have the ability to work from home (and do so often) so there hasn't been much change for me. My wife says people in her office are in full-blown panic mode... to the extent a couple ladies are carrying Lysol spray with them wherever they go. They are having to cancel meetings and conferences scheduled over the next few weeks so her work life has definitely been impacted more than mine.

It was actually quite shocking how non-existent the prevention measures were (from the park and other guests). Only noticed one couple using masks and very few people using hand sanitizer. I wouldn't be surprised if those places end up being hotspots for infection. I can't say it was just there though as we also noticed a lack of people taking precautions in the airports.

I was at Disneyland a week ago... if you didn't watch the news, you would have had no idea this was going on.

UFC event this weekend in Brazil is happening without a crowd. They are contemplating moving other upcoming events to their Apex facility in Vegas.

Ordered mine. Only $35 if you are a STH so I couldn't say no.
