how do you think so?

Bombers sign kicker Brett Maher
no problem still... off Neufeld and in Jones to RT move Alexander to CB and Newman to S add another NI somewhere. (DB or LB) lot of possibilities im liking more this setup, i know there are some drop off from import to non-import talent but if we are rotating more bodies maybe that will give our import starters some breather during the game

Bombers sign kicker Brett Maher
assuming our starting NIs are: 4 OLs (Greaves, new center, Penser, Neufeld) 2 Recs (Watson, Kohlert) 1 S (Alexander) our backup NIs would look like 1 OL (eg. Morley) 2 Recs (eg. T.Gudino, Brescasin) 3 FB/RB (Volny, Pontbriand, Fitzgerald) 3 DLs (Thomas, Lucas, Richardson) 1 LB (eg. Stephan) 3 DB (eg. Newman, Muamba, Bucknor) i think thats is not too bad for rotation especially in the D lot of NIs to play special teams the only black spot is in the LB so the other DI should be there

Bombers sign kicker Brett Maher
The whole point to having one guy do all 3 jobs is to free up a roster spot. So no. im thinking the DI would be a all-in-1 kicker (Maher), a dedicated KR/PR (Wood or Tarver) and a 'Rover'? and there's no point on keeping Renaud on the roster (46/IR/PR) if he can't backup Maher, correct?

Bombers sign kicker Brett Maher
assuming Maher make it past TC and can do all 3 kicking jobs. and designated to be the fulltime kicker and we burn a DI spot for him should we carry another kicker (NI) as a backup on gameday roster ?

Isn't Watman a guard? We have enough guards. We need a centre. I'm not sure of this but he was a backup center for the Riders. http://www.riderville.com/depthchart/game/depthid/10073

Walters at 1pm
if Lavertu is picked #1 overall (by RedBlacks) and the Bombers are sure they want Goosen... they can actually trade the #2 for the #4 (Als) or #5 (Lions) spot and get an additional late pick
-
Walters at 1pm
bad timing for Walters presser, every media are focused on that Sterling decision

Walters at 1pm
the Lavertu pick might be genuine... Goosen pick maybe a smoke screen?

Steven Jyles a no-show at BC Lions mini camp

Quentin Saulsberry?
Am not devaluing January, in fact, he's one the guys on this team that can give us a higher value in a trade. The only reason, I'm ok to part with him is because I believe we have a younger guy who is ready to take his spot.

Knapp didn't play LT in that game - he played RG. I didnt say Knapp played LT... read my post i think he played RT vs Edmonton it's the game where he played good the first half until he got tired and Odell figured him out on the second http://cfl.uploads.mrx.ca/wpg/pdf/depth/2013/DepthChartEdmontonatWinnipeg094146.pdf then we played 3 imports the next game (vs BC) with him playing RG http://cfl.uploads.mrx.ca/wpg/pdf/depth/2013/DepthvsBC093002.pdf

And in order to do that, we need to keep January around for the time being, because the rest of our O-line sucks absolute dogshit. Not necessarily. Jones and Knapp filled in admirably in LT and RT respectively, consider they are with the team for just 5 days. Imagine what benefit of a full TC will do for them. And we have 2 more good import propects on the roster right now... and they are not like a Taormina type. and you're too down in our NI OLs RT - they have high hopes with Neufeld but if he's not good there, then we line up an import there. Problem solved. RG - Penser played good in his short stint there, so does Kowalczuk. Swiston has his bright and dark moments there. I think it's a matter of deciding where should be Penser and Swiston play, not RG this week and RT next week. LG - will be Greaves, who arguably our best NI OL last year. our problem is with C - Morley and Kowalzcuk is not set there yet. and how much of it is DelMonaco's ?

@TBieber, any updates on Ted Laurent? what NFL teams did he tried out already and what teams are still lined up ?

Looking to play closer to home? I'm wondering if SSK left him unprotected knowing his contract situation could allow them to re-acquire him after one season. Also, they had to keep that offensive line intact. So in sense, most of the players they acquire in the expansion draft are rentals.

Looking at Ottawa's OL, i think they need a C, RG and RT LT - import LG - Deane / Dunn C - K-Groh RG - Albright / Barrette RT - Epelle

I think we have to make the most of our opportunity while Wylie is here. Give him a very good talent to work with and turn them into a solid O-Line this year. Just like what he did in 2007-2008 with LaBatte et.al. We never know, NFL might come calling again next year and *poof* he's gone.
