Agree with Mike. If I was Goltz I would be little pissed about that statement. You don't throw a teammate under the bus like that.

Exactly the thoughts I was having. Goltz gets one start and does not get a win and a lot of people not just fans but in the media are ready to throw him on to the trash heap. Its the exact reason why this franchise has not developed there own quarter back in over 30 years.

What if he Mack came out this week said we are going to let Goltz play out the rest of the season. Saying that they feel that he has all the tools to be a successful starting quarterback in this league and all that he needs is time behind centre. Knowing that would you guys accept another 6-12 season or worse seeing whether Goltz is the answer or not? What reaction would that generate?(Not that this would ever happen just a hypothetical)

The only good thing is if Kelly was coaching this team right now he would be starting Goltz the rest of the year.

This D went down hill when Dunn and Parker went out against Hamilton in the 3rd quarter.

I could stomach a 4-14 season if Goltz is the starter the rest of the way and shows some progression from now till the end.

I wonder how much sleep he got last night.

Will be interesting following Mulumba in Green Bay and seeing if Bilukidi can survive another training camp in Oakland. Oakland has a couple rookie DT tackles coming in but Bilukidi was used a fair bit last year in the defensive rotation.
