Yeah and the next few games are spaced out a bit.... tonight, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday. So the next four might go to Helle and then give Mason the Blackhawks on Jan 12, then back to Helle on the 13th. We'll see.

With how well Helle is playing, we may not see Mason again until the back-to-back against the Wild and Blackhawks next weekend.

I do remember that. I also remember a lot of people talking about how MLA was Maurice's "favourite" line and he over-used them and he should break them up and give Armia a shot in the top six. Kinda similar to how people talk about Copp-Lowry-Tanev this year.

Were they? I don't know, you didn't back up this claim with anything so I'll just say no they weren't. Totally agree. Although I wouldn't consider Copp or Lowry at number one centre. Perreault, yes.

You know I thought Ewan McGregor did a fantastic job in the prequels. That trilogy gets a lot of hate but I liked McGregor.

Nice add! I like the experience. BC always seems to bring in good young players from the US. This position was held by Craig Smith before but I imagine his battle with leukemia makes it too difficult to continue in that role. All the best to Craig.

Matthias is a 15-goal type of guy throughout his career. Definitely snake bit to start this year but he may still turn it around. Who knows what you're going to get with Dano.... Matthias gets opportunities and doesn't bury but Dano is basically invisible. I don't know. I'd like to see Dano too but let's not make him into something he's not. Speed and skill... when? I haven't seen it. They just might. They haven't even played a game yet without Scheifele... nothing is set in stone.

Westerman will be 33 and coming off an injury that could potentially affect him long-term. I like him and he was a huge addition when we got him but I'd be really careful about how much we are willing to spend.

Matthias-Lowry-Armia were never dominant and Copp-Lowry-Tanev have been scoring at a great pace for a 3rd line over the last ten games or so. I mean yeah I'd like to see Armia get more opportunity. For sure. But why break up that third line now when they are playing their best hockey?

Matthias is only 3 years removed from an 18 goal season. Seems hard to imagine now, watching him play so far this season. He's good but Perreault is better. That's really all there is to it.

Copp, Perreault, Matthias, and Dano have all played center. Roslovic, Petan, and Sgarbossa on the farm. Lots of depth.

I think people overestimate how good Roslovic will be when he makes the jump. Yeah, he's a very good prospect and he's doing well in the AHL... but Brendan Lemieux is scoring at the same pace. And Lemieux isn't jumping into our top six any time soon. The list of guys who have been great scorers in the AHL only to do nothing in the NHL is a long one. Roslovic will likely be a good player for the Jets but I think people should just pump the brakes a little bit.

Kind of unexpected but I don't hate it... I'm not a big fan of Wheeler at centre to be honest but I'm willing to see how it goes. I don't get why they would put Matthias in over Dano. Matthias is going to be gone next year, Dano at least is still young with potential. Put him in the lineup already. I'm not even a huge Dano fan but geez what is going on there.

Manziel has been approved by the commish. Can't wait to see him in the CFL, whether he is a stud or a dud, it will be entertaining as hell.

I like it. Petan is going to be an RFA after this season and it would be nice to get a legitimate look at him as a top six player in the NHL. But like Frosty says, Petan has been playing on the wing. Then again so has Perreault and he is probably the first choice to be Scheifele's replacement in the top six. They need someone good on draws and who can play the power play. Petan and Perreault can both do that. My only worry would be Petan's defensive game and how he would fare in our own end.

To be fair our defence absolutely did steal a couple games for us this past season.

Great game for Armia 1.0. So who replaces Scheif? Roslovic straight to the top line, or maybe Perreault to the top line and bring up Lemieux? Or does one of Dano or Matthias get another kick at the can? Decisions, decisions...
