Bridges looked like he was going to be a star but I think injuries have basically ended his career. The 2024 version of him would be a great fit here but I don't think he's that guy anymore.

Before this week Wheatfall had like 80 yards more than Nield on the season and both had 0 TDs so let's not act like Wheatfall is tearing up the league, he'd be #4 on the Bombers and probably get as much use here as Nield does. He had a big week and based on his career so far that's going to be followed up by 4 weeks of nothing.

Offence is 7th in net yards and points scored. Defence is 6th in net yards and points allowed. Mediocre all around and the record reflects it.

There is a WR on the Bombers' neg list named Elijah Cooks who has been bouncing around the NFL for a few years and is probably just about out of chances... 6'4, 215 lbs... would love to see him as a late add this season.

I wonder if it would make sense to bring in Eugene Lewis and move Wilson inside to Nield's spot and move Nield to field WR.

So halfway through the season the team is somehow 5-4. Basically 3 more wins to lock up a playoff spot. 5 more wins probably gives a home playoff game. Remaining games: Week 12 - @Elks Week 13 - vs Als Week 14 - Labour Day Classic Week 15 - Banjo Bowl Week 16 - BYE Week 17 - vs Argos Week 18 - @Als Week 19 - vs Stamps Week 20 - @Elks Week 21 - @Lions No more OTT, no more HAM. 2x Elks, 2x Als, 2x Riders. Could be tough for this team to scrape out 3 more wins. They're going to have to start figuring their **** out. Next four weeks could be brutal.

It would be nice to see the defence generate some big plays and turnovers, especially at home

Yeah BC looks like the best bet to finish 3rd in the division at the moment but they've been very inconsistent including last night even though they scraped out the win Big difference between BC and Winnipeg right now is that they are probably headed in opposite directions - BC has exciting young talent like Horvath and Rourke while the Bombers are not quite as young and exciting.

I'm no expert but I can confidently say Vanterpool is our 3rd best option at tackle and we don't have anyone on the gameday roster behind Bryant and Broxton who can play tackle. Wallace just isn't good enough and they don't use Neufeld, Elsbury or Eli there at all. If a tackle goes down in the first half, the game is an auto-loss and probably an injury for whoever is at QB. It's unlikely yet catastrophic when it does occur.

Are BC and Calgary both as mediocre as the Bombers? It seems all three teams shoot themselves in the foot with regularity.
