  1. Fine with these signings until we find someone better.
  2. Mack will always get credit from me for picking Muamba when almost everyone believed he should've went with Mitchell. As a friendly reminder, I was the first guy to pump Muamba's tires... I wanted Edem too. And Coehoorn. Just sayin'... I would have protected Kohlert. Everything you say is based off of what analysts have written so I have no idea how you could claim to be the first.
  3. I'm actually pretty pleased with the Brescacin pick up, I hope he signs here. Tall, fast receiver who led the CIS in receiving yards in 2012, and was 3rd in 2011. He was stuck behind some very good receivers in Hamilton, I think he'll have a real shot to make our team eventually.
  4. Where does the national media say that the Bombers are still whe worst possible team a coach can go to? You have to live outside Winnipeg & the Province like I do to really know how they feel. So you don't mean the national media, you mean the Calgary media.
  5. ROUND 1 Winnipeg - DB Marty Markett Saskatchewan - RB Chris Garrett Calgary - QB Kevin Glenn Edmonton - SB Marcus Henry BC - DT Eric Taylor Hamilton - LB Brandon Isaac Toronto - DB Jalil Carter Montreal - SB/KR Bo Bowling ROUND 2 Winnipeg - DL Jake Thomas Saskatchewan - WR Rob Bagg Calgary - OL Spencer Wilson Edmonton - PK Hugh O'Neill BC - SB Seydou Junior Haidara Hamilton - OL Tim O'Neill Toronto - WR Spencer Watt Montreal - OL Kristian Matte ROUND 3 Winnipeg - LB James Green Saskatchewan - LB Cory Huclack Calgary - DL Justin Phillips Edmonton - DB Ryan Hinds BC - OL Patrick Kabongo Hamilton - WR Simon Charbonneau-Campeau Toronto - DB Shane Herbert Montreal - RB Jerome Messam
  6. I don't think it's fair for you to expect Stubler to be interested in your life, especially while he's working.
  7. And just in case anyone was wondering... Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk1m Pierre-Luc Labbe isn't retiring to avoid expansion draft. He's following his dad's footsteps and becoming a police officer. #Bombers
  8. Labbe had his fair share of haters among the fanbase, but for a team lacking in non-import depth, this is really unfortunate.
  9. Darren Cameron ‏@Darren_Cameron 1m Canadian linebacker @pierreluclabbe announces his retirement after six seasons with the #Bombers. Pierre-luc Labbe ‏@pierreluclabbe 13s Time to move on to different goals. Thanks a lot to the #BlueBombers for the best 6 years of my life #retirement #CFL
  10. If Higgins can't find a job this offseason with all the vacancies out there, I think that says something about how he is regarded throughout the league.
  11. I like this move but we're going to have to get some solid DBs if we want to run Stubler's system. It is not defence for dummies.
  12. The problem with that is the new CBA likely won't be ratified until May or June. There's not going to be a lot of guys willing to wait that long.
  13. There was some speculation on Twitter that these contracts may not have included signing bonuses, so they would not put any additional money towards this year's cap and would make their contracts unattractive to Ottawa. Of course, in Labatte and Getzlaf's cases, the Ottawa factor is irrelevant because they will obviously be protected.
  14. I'm a fan of the ECHL's "Wheeling Nailers". Doesn't get much better than that.
  15. Well, the coaching & management baggage is now gone totally. We have a team. We at least have a base to work off of. We do have experienced talent albeit not a lot. What's Ottawa got? Three unknown signed players? Whoop de freaking who??? And 24 fringe players they'll select in the expansion draft. Yeah, maybe they'll draft a good qb but who'll be blocking for him??? Who'll be the go to receiver or running back? Same on defense with all unknowns. Anyone going into that situation with 2 failed teams before them thinking there'll be no pressure to win will be in for a shock. Like I said, the unknown is the exciting part for a new head coach. Don't go thinking that a guy like Rick Campbell is just looking for an easy ride. He wants a challenge, and thrives on challenge. That's what motivates these guys. And sure, in Winnipeg the coaching and management baggage is gone. But what about the 60 players on the roster who know nothing but losing for the past 2 seasons? The impatient and pissed-off fanbase and media? Maybe he just didn't like the sound of how Wade Miller was running things. That's what I mean by baggage.
  16. Well it's really not hard to imagine why a coach might prefer Ottawa. Ottawa is a completely blank slate. Lots of opportunity to prove yourself as a head coach and form the team in your image. And Winnipeg... well Winnipeg has lots of baggage, to say the least.
  17. When was the last time Worman coached?
  18. Walters prefers Collaros that's all that matters at this point. Wanna bet that's who he prefers? Who do you think he prefers?
  19. I'm thinking it had more to do with being an unemployed former head coach who took his team to the Grey Cup in his second season.
  20. Four teams now looking for a DC (EDM, CGY, WPG, OTT). Five teams looking for an OC (BC, EDM, WPG, OTT, MTL). Great time to be looking for a job as a coordinator in the CFL.
