After listening to MB's press conference and tonight's coaches show, I'm pretty confident we see Pierce start this weekend. MB noted that a qb can still be developed at #2 through increased reps in practice, which made me think he was laying the groundwork for Pierce to take back the job.
Burke said on his show that he thinks Crowton liked Hall for the job b/c he had the best understanding of the American style offense he was running. That sounds to me like they don't think he's the best fit to run MB's new CFL style offense.

Decision on starting qb will be made tonight, per several twitter sources.

And Irving says to expect Max Hall, so who knows...
I really hope he's right. I'd be ok with Goltz too, but given that we already switched from Goltz to Hall, apparently with 100% agreement from all offensive coaches, Hall should probably be allowed to run with it.

I hope Bellefeuille picks his guy (I'd still say it should be Goltz, but Hall is fine, too) and just sticks with him for the last 11 games of the season. Let's see if we have ourselves a starting QB for next year and beyond, and let's see them actually develop.
Penton's article this morning says we should expect Pierce behind centre this week.

Assuming only rostered players are in the draft (not guys who teams own CFL rights to like Bilikudi and Mulumba):
Greaves, Swiston, Pencer, Etienne, Kohlert, Muamba
If Bilikudi and Mulumba are included, I'd knock off one of the receivers and protect Mulumba.
I find it interesting that you'd protect JE
Change of heart.

...and should be spelt respectfully, now that he is on our staff.
Oh come on. This is a fan message board for sheet sake. I'm sure Marcel has heard it all before and probably laughs about it.
Why would he laugh? It's not particularily funny or creative.

I haven't read all of the threads so I apologize if this has already been discussed, but Hall reminds me a lot of Elliott. Not much of an arm and not much of an athlete, but still seemed to move the ball fairly well. The turnovers were another unfortunate resemblance.
The one thing I thought made Hall look more promising than Elliott is that he seems to be a more accurate passer.

like angels pissing on my tongue. i wish it were winter so we could freeze it into ice blocks and skate on it and melt it in the spring time and drink it.
I don't drink it much, but I really like it too. It's strange they can make something this good but Guiness Draught is so terrible.

piss in a bottle.
My dad's drink of choice. Never fully understood why...

I'm a Sleeman Original guy. Every once in awhile I'll get crazy & have a Rickard's White.

Here's another one of you next to Tom Hanks:

I don't even have a cat...
Assuming most of you know who Jetque (or whatever his name is now) is from the Bomber's site and have seen his avi's of himself, I look frighteningly similar to him.

It would be supremely awesome if we could convince Hunt to come rehab up here and somehow lock him and Hall up long term. Imagine a Healthy Hunt and Hall off the edges? that would be insane!
He's still an Eagle, so they probably won't let him rehab with another team in a different league.

Well, Kyle Walters claim that the lines of communication between the players & coaches would improve & having players not speak publicly about ny personnel moves lasted, what, 24 hours??? Another negative comment. These guys have to be fined heavily & by heavily, I mean in the thousands of dollars or outright released. This is getting stupid.
I'm pretty sure they can't do that.

Chase, you can look at basic statistics all you want.
If you really want to break out stats that mean something, they all favor Goltz.
Points per possession, percentage of two-and-outs, average net offense.
For example ... last I checked, Buck was going two and out roughly 44% of the time this year. Compared to Goltz at around 17-18%
Not even close. And there are plenty more stats just like that.
Goltz did it against better teams too.

From what I've been reading .. Bilukidi isn't going anywhere for awhile ..
I read that he's practicing with the 1st unit D. I also read that's a damning indictment of how bad their DL is.

THAT is who you think he looks like from The Office?
Fair enough. I see a bit of both. Maybe their love child...

I got absolutely nothing against Walters and I would bet that someday he will be a real good candidate for GM... I just don't think he's ready yet. AGM is a great place for him right now I believe and if the bombers just stick with him then it's just more of the same crap we've done for the last 2 decades that haven't worked. Make the easy hire cause the guy is already around rather than actually looking for the right candidate who can do the job for the next decade +. Where's our Wally Buono?
Not sure if you listened to the press conference or not, but Miller said they're going to do a full GM search in the offseason.
Bob Irving: Max Hall To Start
in Blue Bomber Discussion

According to Toth, the gave some thought to starting Goltz as well. That's really good news to me b/c it means Pierce wasn't even in the discussion.
