  1. Contract seems pretty fair, given how much the qb payscale changed this past offseason. I would expect Evans to get around the same. I know he's not a pending fa, but I think he gets extended in the offseason. I bet Arbuckle's 7 game stint as a starter will get him somewhere between $350-400k. BLM and Reilly blew up the qb payscale. Trying to reverse that would likely see a team end up with the least wanted qb of who's available.
  2. The two short guys weren't going to be open for long. It was 2nd and long and they both had a Bomber above them around the first down marker. If they got the ball, they wouldn't have gotten a first without breaking a tackle. Those would be the kind of throws people get mad at Lapo for. I have no explanation for how wide open the actual target was, though.
  3. That can't be right. I'll check and report back... Edit: it was closer than I thought, but Nichols averaged more attempts/gm to Harris than Streveler did.
  4. Have you considered that your biases may affect your perception of O'Shea's body language?
  5. Don't know yet, need to see how the playoffs go.
  6. That pick looked like it was Bailey's fault. He ran that curl, but rounded it at the end instead of coming back to the ball. Streveler threw it where it he should have been, imo.
  7. It does when you're comparing him to a guy who has coached in a tough division with average to poor qbs.
  8. Campbell's success has come with very good qbs in a very bad division. Now he has very bad qbs in an improved division, and he looks lost. It would be interesting to see how he'd do with our roster. Not sure why the other names should be considered "instant upgrades". Edit: did you mean bringing the entire Ottawa coaching staff here under Campbell, or those guys as potential head coaches?
  9. https://3downnation.com/2019/10/09/how-pinballs-hiring-could-affect-the-blue-bombers/ TSN1290 morning show talked about it. Westwood is convinced he's gone. I'm not sure I disagree.
  10. Lol, that was one of the most "wtf" plays I've seen in a long time. Then the qb on the peewee team I coach did the same thing a few days later. He was getting sacked and tried to throw it away, but threw it 20 yards backwards...
  11. Saturday afternoon when it was picked off in the endzone.
  12. We didn't give up two draft picks. We're moving down approx. 14 spots in the middle of the draft.
  13. I don't think Campbell will take long to find a new job if he gets fired. He had a lot of successful years in Ottawa. I think most will view this season as the GM's fault.
  14. It's entirely possible the qbs stopped going his way after he forgot how to catch the football.
  15. Maybe I need to re-watch the game, but that's not what I saw. I wasn't impressed with is game last night.
  16. It definitely sucks for the fanbase when a team does that. Pittsburgh nearly lost their franchise both times they tanked for a superstar. Luckily for them it worked out as the best case scenario both times.
  17. Doesn't guarantee anything, but it really hopes if your gm picks wisely. Blackhawks and Pens are two great examples. Reilly, Marner, & Matthews are all top five picks for the Leafs, and they're a legit contender. Avalanche are built around high draft picks, etc.
  18. Davis is good enough to be a backup. Jennings might be done.
  19. Those coaches fit the "cardboard box" part of the analogy, so there's no real threat of being worse off.
  20. You've got a pretty good DL when Roh is a healthy scratch.
  21. Making $100k/yr for seven years doesn't make you set for life.
  22. It's funny b/c it's true. He did that a few times yesterday.
