I can't understand why they wouldn't want some solid, reliable veterans, if for no other reason than to help grow the young ones? On top of that, they'll need to take on some bigger salaries just to meet the cap floor. A guy like Toby fits perfectly for them. Having said that, as a Jets fan, I hope he doesn't get chosen, 'cause I still really like him in Winnipeg.

Renaud is the guy who led the league in ST tackles last year, right? Damn well better be great on teams...

I used to be a big Doan fan, but some of his ****-ish comments when the Coyotes might have been going back to Winnipeg really turned me off. Really came across as a spoiled Christian who wanted to play golf as much as he played hockey. Cared more about the "lifestyle" than the game...

For me, it's all about the Manitoba content. Either Manitobans, or people with strong Manitoba connections. So much of it...loving it. Sports is all about the regional relatability...

I was thinking earlier that, on paper, this sure seems like a really good team. I'm curious to see what the actual "starting line up" is, think think that we, as fans, put too much stock in who is out there for the first reps. There is a lot of rotating throughout a game.

I don't think anyone is "enamoured" with starting Hurl, but he's certainly not worth getting upset about. Definitely very intelligent. Maybe not as physically imposing as some would like.

Sobbing about Hurl as a glaringly huge hole that's going to cost us games or some such is ridiculous at this point. He's an assignment sound player who is not the fastest or strongest but will rarely be out of position.

Seems like a lot of fretting over players we know barely anything about. I'd humbly suggest a wee dose of chill for now...

The kid is good...he was my favourite player from that draft class. Honestly thought I'd take him at #1 that year, if I were a GM. Despise the Habs with every fibre of my being, so it'll be tough to cheer for him...

Concourse congestion has been my ONLY issue (and a minor one at that) since the stadium opened. This will definitely help alleviate some of that.
