Make no mistake, the only reason for the ticket pricing is so that they have exact numbers. I saw a great tweet today that said "ever try to plan a party where you had no idea how many people were coming??" and that's exactly it...

I couldn't be happier for that fan base....I hope they absolutely tank this year and are the raging tire fire we all expect them to be.

Good idea....all proceeds to charity, and much easier to regulate how many people will be there.

Manitoba curling is in a bad way. Maybe our best skip, Matt Dunstone, headed west to skip some gappers. A real shame. The McEwen/Carruthers experiment was a **** show. We'll see what year 2 looks like. I still think the front end is the biggest problem with that team...

that was my first thought, and it's a huge step back. I can't imagine the money is even comparable. My only thought is that people are terrified of working for Bell/Corus/Stingray right now because there is ZERO job security. With Harvard Regina, you pretty much have a job for life with "decent" pay....

it's funny to me, because isn't DT from Winnipeg and a pretty big Bombers fan? Riders fans will riot if their PBP guy isn't a "AREN'T THE RIDERS THE GREATEST ORGANIZATION EVER??!!!!!" guy........ Apparently Michael Ball, who co-hosts the morning show on The Wolf (sister station to CKRM) was in the running and wanted it really badly, but they have such consistently high ratings on The Wolf, that management didn't want to take him off that.

So I can't seem to find any actual proof of it yet, but the buzz around the media world is that Derek Taylor from TSN is moving to Regina to take over the Riders PBP gig vacated by Rowdy Rod at CKRM......

Owners will never go for it, but the league could really use to cut back to like 65-70 games. Would make a huge difference in the overall quality of the game, especially late in the season...

I'm certain Miller is doing his due-diligence right now, and they won't do this unless they're as certain as they can be that it'll turn a healthy profit...

I keep thinking that a city the size of Toronto couldn't get much of a crowd for the Bills, who are a big deal for southern Ontario peeps........how could the Bombers possibly make money off this? And the only way I'd want to do it is if the Bombers were going to make a killing...

Bombers are giving a non-answer at this point. Basically said "we're always looking at events we can host, and revenue we can bring in. We will have no further comment at this time."

Fwiw, Riders apparently were not pleased with having an NFL team play in their stadium, and the Esks have said they are absolutely not bidding for it........very interesting.

Do we still have Matt Coates on the roster? Remember that he was supposed to start last year until coming down with a bad injury....

It seems like something that could be a big $$$$ coups for the Bombers, but as long as Sask doesn't get it (I'm spiteful and want them to have absolutely NOTHING...) I'm good...agreed that the size of Commonwealth makes sense...

I just feel like each generation is better than the last. Bigger, faster, stronger...better training. Having said that, Walby is God...
