I've always been bothered by Strev's throwing motion. It's like he's shot-putting the ball.....just, like, pushing it forward. Something about it just seems wrong. Hell of a good runner, though...

James Wilder Jr out again this week for the Argos...

I'm not going to do the digging to find it, but a few weeks ago, there was an article about Nichols...I want to say it was a Tait piece......where MN talked about how the biggest thing he did in the off-season was get more into the psychological aspect of the game. He said he's really learned how to not get too high and not get too low and just keep an even keel throughout the game and immediately following. He says all QBs talk about "flush this one and move on" immediately after a game, but admits that it's easier said than done. But said he had some help in the offseason with the mental part of things and feels a lot better equipped this year, in that regard. It was an interesting piece, anyhow...

As I posted earlier.....it was mentioned on the CJOB pre-game show that he's apparently the webmaster for the Hamilton Spectator (??) website....

100% where my head is....

oh it goes a lot farther back than that...

This was my thought...I'll believe it when I see 'em on the field.

Figured we might as well get this rolling. Practicing in Guelph this week in preparation of Thursday night's contest. Years and years of Bombers dreadful seasons have me feeling like we're going to give the Argos their first win of the season, and that things are going to spiral out of control the rest of the season, and the Riders are going to build momentum and keep winning...........I need a smack to right the ship. Bombers and Hammy by 50+ this week, pls....

Bombers losing and Riders winning is just the most God awful thing, and I desperately need a reversal this coming weekend...

Tabbies beat writer on our local pre-game show Friday mentioned that DE is the webmaster for his paper's (Spectator?) website....so he's definitely doing that, at the very least.

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of the Als game at IGF where Nichols rallied 'em with 2 minutes left in the game. We definitely know he can do it. When he's "your guy", you give him the benefit of the doubt and let him try and work it out.

Unless they were 40"+, I don't wanna hear about em... #Snakes #Handles #GatorsOnly

My family is full of protective services. 2 RCMP, 1 City, 1 paramedic, 1 city Firefighrer and 1 retired federal firefighter. All are above and beyond fantastic and hard working and have risen to very high levels. Not all are like that, but the vast majority are. I hate people who **** on cops amd first responders. It's among the most brutal jobs a person can do.

https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/07/27/upon-review-wpg-15-ham-23/ NICHOLS DIDN’T MINCE WORDS… when he met with the media following the game, immediately accepting the blame for his poorest game since last year’s Banjo Bowl. He entered the game with an active streak of 19 straight completions, but had that snapped on the first pass attempt when a shovel to Lucky Whitehead was dropped. His next attempt was intercepted and returned to the one-yard line, helping give Hamilton a 14-0 just seven minutes into the game. “For whatever reason, on two of the plays (interceptions) the ball kinda came out of the side of my hand,” Nichols explained. “I had open guys and was on the right read, but the ball came off the side of my hand twice and went 10 yards over where I was trying to throw it. It doesn’t ever happen in like one in a thousand throws, but it happened twice tonight. It’s brutal, but that’s the way this position goes. And that first one was the difference in the game score-wise, momentum-wise, everything. I had a guy open on a curl route and the ball just floated out of the side of my hand. It’s unfortunate.” “I’ve been on a lot of really good football teams and a lot of the best teams I’ve been on, sometimes a loss like this isn’t the worst thing to bring the realization that you’re not just going to go out and beat everyone by 30 points,” Nichols added. “This will be a great learning experience for everyone, including myself, that we need to play better football to win football games.”

That's brutal. As much as it makes might help the Bombers quest for a GC I sure don't want to see that to any team. What a shame. The whole situation was exactly what happened to Nichols in camp last year but didn't hold him out quite as long.
