  1. this is just FABULOUS news....
  2. Tonight at 7pm is officially 14 days from my second dose. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to feel an incredible sense of relief. While I will be wearing my mask and social distancing for a long while yet, it's going to be a major weight off the shoulders....
  3. for those that were wondering about how the league and teams make money off the single game betting:
  4. Just move on, fellas.......
  5. ai yi yi...... Back on track.......some good light reading for ya's, courtesy of Our Man Tait........ https://www.bluebombers.com/2021/06/23/were-at-a-different-level/?utm_source=dlvr.it
  6. that guy is the best thing on Twitter these days....
  7. the man speaks truths......... this time.
  8. how long till those folks jump over to Mad Max, and the right gets split hard?
  9. Really really love how MB is doing this.... Rewarding the double vaxxed with greater freedoms. AB calls or a violation of privacy (whether you're vaxxed or not) and gives everyone the same privileges. Gross. I'm uncomfortable going anywhere with large numbers of people because you don't know who the insane ones are.
  10. the Bombers posted a pic on their social media of Adams getting his vaccine, so he'd be ready to go....encouraging fans to do likewise. Don't think DA is done yet. Neufeld has been quoted in recent Tait pieces as being really fired up and ready to go, so don't think he's calling it just yet. What will be interesting of course, is how many guys THINK they're ready to go, but when they actually get into 2-A-Day's, realize that they just don't have the legs anymore....
  11. Good stuff here...this suggests no limit on the number of fully vaxxed in attendance....
  12. But catching up very quickly. We're vaccinating at a much higher rate, and will catch them in a few weeks I believe. There's a guy on Twitter who tracks this stuff and tweets out various data/charts/graphs every day....
  13. Bauming being cagey on Twitter, saying "there's more coming..." which may indicate some Bombers that haven't announced yet. Very curious to see....
  14. I'm not one for sports wagering... I absolutely do not understand the random numbers that Hustler is always talking about...... All I know is the league and its member clubs are expected to net 15-20 million from this, with each club getting around 2 million.... Based on estimates. Just what I've read on Twitter via CFL News and other feeds...
  15. That is my understanding of the situation. But the gambling houses make so much ******* money... They pay each of the leagues a pile of money and it's still only a fraction of what they're taking in. It's really quite the racket...
  16. So the companies that will now legally be able to accept bets in Canada, are going to pay the CFL a LOT (15-20 million is an estimate) to allow betting on their games. Each team is expected to net around 2 million bucks from this endeavour.
  17. couple things - that single game betting bill that's in the senate right now is about to pass in overwhelming fashion. Huge news for the CFL. Also, re: Bombers roster:
  18. further....some good stuff on what to expect with this year's offence, via Our Man Tait...... https://www.bluebombers.com/2021/06/22/believe-physical-physical-team-league/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  19. saw something on Twitter last night...sounds like Yoshi is back in town already. Was out playing basketball yesterday evening, apparently. *cues up The Boys Are Back In Town* also, just for funzies......17to85 found this the other day. It's worth a watch:
  20. extremely small price to pay....good on all of you for taking the first vaccine available. It's the right thing to do.
  21. Riders already wafer-thin OL takes another hit with the retirement of Braden Schram today.......also lose DL Chad Geter to retirement.
  22. WINNIPEG, MB., June 21, 2021 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the addition of Darrell Patterson to the 2021 coaching staff as the new defensive line coach. A Blue Bombers alumnus, Patterson played for the club from 1984-87 and was a member of the 1984 Grey Cup championship team. He brings extensive coaching experience to the Bombers staff, having most recently served as an assistant coach/defensive analyst with TCU from 2018-2020 following a long run with the Rice Owls from 2007-17. Patterson worked with the Rice linebackers for eight years and in his last six years with the program was also the assistant head coach. In addition, he spent seven years as the Rice special-teams coordinator and four as the run-game coordinator. With his connections to Canada, Patterson led the school’s recruiting efforts in this country and helped Rice land eight Canadians over a nine-year span, including long-time NFL tight end Luke Wilson and defensive end Christian Covington as well as offensive linemen Scott Mitchell and Peter Godber. Prior to his days at Rice, Patterson worked at Stanford University (2005-07), Southern Methodist (2003-04), Baylor (2002), Arkansas State (2001), Kentucky (1997-00), Temple (1995-96), Akron (1992-94). He began his coaching career as an intern with the B.C. Lions in 1991. A standout linebacker at TCU during his playing days from 1979-82, Patterson is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame and remains the school’s all-time leader in tackles. He was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round, 151st overall, of the 1983 NFL Draft and first made his way north to Winnipeg and the Blue Bombers in 1984. He would suit up for 49 regular-season games with the Bombers from 1984-87 before moving on to the Ottawa Rough Riders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. His best season statistically came in 1987, when he finished with eight sacks, behind only Blue Bomber hall of famers Tyrone Jones and Mike Gray.
