  1. Clinton would have been just fine as a President. Never mind compared to Drumpfy. And Biden, comparitavely, will seem like Obama 2.0
  2. No sir...man, I can't even imagine. My commute is exactly 8 minutes, door to door
  3. I don't have to go ANYWHERE near Calgary, thank Christ... wife and I were just talking about how we are trying to avoid that petri dish right now. Talk to me in September...
  4. Funny, I was hoping the same thing for Calgary....
  5. except you really SHOULDN'T be visiting anyone that doesn't live in your house.
  6. You, sir, are an optimist.... Big thumbs up for that kind of faith.
  7. great news for Manitoba today, for sure, but....as Mike McIntyre just tweeted "let's try to not screw this up, shall we...." If people try to do too much, too soon, it's going to undo all the gains already made. Also still concerned about a massive resurgence of COVID in the fall/winter, which might force a reset on everything to lockdown.
  8. I read one Ambrosie quote from last night saying they would gladly open up their books to the feds to let them see all of the numbers, and why they're asking for that certain dollar figure. I'm intrigued by the notion that it's not a bailout grant, but rather a loan of sorts. I am, of course, in favour of government money to keep the CFL afloat, but I sure don't like the optics of it among all the haters...
  9. the thought that we would help a division rival with their OL problem by giving them one of our best pieces.........get the **** out of here.
  10. Needs a reason to be mad at Ambrosie... But honestly we might be looking at the league going **** up if they done get a cash infusion...
  11. I was just about to post the link to this story. Insane and I can't imagine the feds bailing them out. Football isn't exactly essential... And that's a fair bit of cash at a bad time. I mean how would you justify this to fiscal Conservatives.....?
  12. quoting this just so people read it again - perfect post.
  13. the latest from our man Tait... https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/04/28/bombers-draft-part-4/?fbclid=IwAR2ROE-LSjS5KQEPTlje-EstR2eDKhDMkilah1XARqlftXZhLyXyYneCE8c
  14. honestly, whether the link/article is accurate or not, is it a really necessary thing to post? Do we really need it? I'm not suggesting burying our heads in the sand, but honestly what was the point of that "political scientist" post...other than to scare people?
  15. makes all kinds of sense. They did well with what they had to work with, then...
  16. that graph lookin' mighty fine.... keep up the good work, MB!
  17. I had a bit of a wake up call over the weekend, when my anxiety and depression hit me SUPER hard and put a good scare into me, and I've decided that I'm not going to focus as much on the "negative". It's easy to say "I can't do this, I can't do that" because of COVID. So I'm choosing to focus on the things I will be able to do. Golf is going to be acceptable in a limited capacity. I'm fairly confident I'm going to be able to take my boat out and go fishing this summer. I'm going to spend more time in my backyard doing gardening and such. There's a ton of negative over all of us right now, and it's CRUCIAL for your own sanity to try and focus on every bit of positive you can find.
  18. cheaper to run pre-produced content than live stuff. Way less overhead. But you're right...they're desperate for live stuff, just f***ing bite the bullet and air it. You'd have to think that ad clients would be on board. All the agriculture companies....seed companies...implement companies....they're all ramping up ad buys right now ahead of seeding, and there's a fair bit of crossover in target audience, so they should be big time potential clients for a full live broadcast. Alas, Toronto people behind all of it don't know what I'm talking about....
  19. Very excited that we can actually watch every pick, every round, between TSN and TSN.ca. Thursday's gonna be a great night!
  20. https://www.cfl.ca/2020/04/28/watch-2020-cfl-draft-broadcast-info/
  21. I hadn't considered the "multiple games per day" thing....that makes sense. Really interesting. Also, because it's what I do, I'm curious about how TV broadcasts of the games would work. Every team has their own regional broadcaster..... would they all travel to the neutral site and be sequestered as well? Lotta questions yet, for sure...
