one of the beat guys asked Osh about Harris earlier this week and he said they were waiting for results from tests that he had done either Sunday or Monday. Sooooooo..... I dunno.
-
Doesn't kick in till Nov 30th. Travel vaxx requirements won't affect us till GC....
-
Cooper's just depth...Oliveira and Augustine are the RBs. But if Harris is out long-term, then you need some depth. Shame he's American, but you needed SOMEONE.... I was having an incredibly boring day at work......thanks Bombers!
-
Harris might be ****** for the year.....just some depth maybe?

after the bye, this team is going to be scary good for the final push to the playoffs....

On the contrary, I would think that if it was a relatively unimportant player, they'd be gone by now. I wonder if it's one of the more important players that outright refused the jab. Too important to just cut....

Who are we likely to lose after this season??

You know Rigmaiden already left for BC, right? -
That quote about the Bombers being so much better than anyone that they'll only lose to themselves from here on out....coming from someone on another team.......I wanna make that my profile picture for eternity.

Who are we likely to lose after this season??

I believe he's very involved in a men's soccer league and does some minor sports coaching as well.....he's quite involved in the community. -
this is always fun: https://3downnation.com/2021/10/20/insider-talk-montreals-trade-capital-torontos-rising-receiver-lawlers-breakout-season/ I’m not surprised that Kenny Lawler has played so well this season. He didn’t see the ball a lot in 2019 because of scheme but he really looked great on film. He was bound to produce at a higher level. Winnipeg is still head and shoulders above everyone else. Nobody will beat them straight-up. If they lose again it’ll be because they beat themselves. Zach Collaros is playing great and they’ve got the best offensive and defensive lines in the league by a large margin — a really large margin. When (Mike) O’Shea says (Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ kicker Ali) Mourtada hits the same ball every time he’s not wrong: it’s always outside the posts.

One thing that I really should have noted in this discussion about MOS.......once one learns of the greatness of Manitoba, it's an extremely desirable place to live. MOS, like me, is a big outdoors guy....hunting, fishing, camping, etc......and Manitoba's as good as it gets for that stuff. -

listen, all I'm saying is MOS is Argos royalty. One of their all time greatest. He's born and raised in Ontario and spent his entire career there. I wouldn't blame the guy one iota if he eventually wanted to go there, and the idea that "well, housing is too expensive!" is laughable. That's not ever going to be an issue. As for Walters, also an Ontario guy whose entire life and career were there before coming to the Bombers. While less likely to leave, I still wouldn't be the least bit shocked if he did. And certainly wouldn't blame him. But....these aren't things to worry about right now. Just enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.... -

Yeah, there's absolutely no way they'd ever factor in cost of living to his salary and other job perks............................................ -

x2. I'm trying to be a sponge and just soak up this season for all it's worth. This is an incredibly rare thing we're witnessing...you don't want to miss a second of it. I still remember the 01 season and that remarkable 12 game win streak and how much fun that was week in, week out. I'll worry about off-season stuff after the fun is over....hopefully sometime in January... -
JWJ is a half step from being Duron Carter..... I'm not sure there's any redeeming that.
-
He's only 30 yet. If it works out, he can play for awhile.... And we've still got Legs to learn.

People are ready for a positive, progressive future. They've seen what the world looks like with divisive, angry, Trumpian politics. Giant no thank you handed out last night. Says that not all Albertans are redneck assholes... Mostly just rural.

Yeah, Twitter hanging off the Riders nuts about their receivers and all I could think was "cool, cool....did they bring a QB that can actually get them the ball??" ****, the Faj is useless....

well this week nothing changes....but after the bye.......could be interesting. Via 3DN: The Winnipeg Blue Bombers traded for kicker Sergio Castillo on Tuesday morning in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2022 CFL Draft. He is expected to join the team after the club’s bye in Week 13. “Sergio’s a very good kicker, we’ve had him here before,” head coach Mike O’Shea told the media on Tuesday. “I know he’s a fit and the last time he stepped on a CFL field he was kicking at 90-plus percent and made some fifties. It’s good to have and we’ll sort it out as we go along.” The Blue Bombers have tried three different placekickers this season with less-than-stellar results. Tyler Crapigna, Marc Liegghio, and Ali Mourtada have combined to make 57.1 percent of their field goals, which puts Winnipeg well behind eighth-ranked Hamilton (70.4 percent) for last-place in the CFL. Mourtada connected on four-of-five attempts this past week in a win over Edmonton but missed a 44-yard attempt late in a seven-point game. He is now 8-of-15 on the season (53.3 percent) after rocky outings in two of his first three games as a Blue Bomber. The rookie hasn’t spent a lot of time thinking about the trade since he was told about it, choosing instead to focus on the things he can control. “I don’t really spend much time thinking about that, that’s kinda out of my pay grade,” said Mourtada. “There’s guys that are part of this organization that are here to make those decisions and I’m here to kick a football. All my energy is focused on the process day-by-day.” Mourtada plans to approach this week’s game against B.C. the same as he has in previous weeks. He was booed off the field the last time he played at IG Field in a tough outing against the Elks during which he missed three field goals and a convert. “If you start worrying about what other people are doing or what’s being said — all that sort of stuff — that really takes your focus away. I’ve found a way of thinking where I just focus in on what I gotta do and execute that every single day,” he said. “There’s only a certain amount of energy that you have, so if you spend too much time thinking about other things you can’t get at what you need to get done.” When asked if Castillo would be the answer to Winnipeg’s kicking problems, O’Shea spoke in defence of his rookie kicker. “I think we found the answer last game, too,” said O’Shea, referencing Mourtada’s 80 percent performance. “He straightened himself out and we’ve got different options now and we’ll make the best decisions as we go forward when those decisions need to be made.” It’s clear that Castillo won’t simply be handed the job upon his arrival to Winnipeg, particularly if Mourtada has a good game this week. It sounds as though O’Shea communicated as much to the rookie kicker while reiterating that he expects the rookie to play well on Saturday. “I let him know that this is the business side of this transaction and Ali’s going to go out and have a great game. That’s the expectation and his expectation of himself, too,” said the veteran head coach. “He can only control how he plays and I’m sure he’ll go out and have a great game.” Castillo was excellent with B.C. in 2019, connecting on 41-of-45 field goal attempts (91.1 percent) with a long of 52 yards. His percentage was actually better than Justin Medlock’s (86 percent) last season, as is Castillo’s career field goal percentage of 87 percent (Medlock’s is 86.5 percent).

nah Roberson is good, for sure....Gainey's just a mouthpiece.

All day I've been thinking about Castillo as Dani Rojas......#FootballIsLife
