  1. I've seen SOME talk on Twitter (only a bit from Macciocia, but also from others) that Maas should be up for Coach of the Year...
  2. only semi related, but I just read that of the Als 11-7 record, they are 11-0 against teams below .500, and 0-7 against teams above.
  3. it's the Osh "honour your teammates" thing..... guys in that room are terrified of ever letting a guy down by taking a stupid penalty. That comes from the very top.
  4. they refused to play us straight up in the lone game against us this season... Dinwiddie was pants-shittingly scared...
  5. it's the most Alberta thing ever to believe that your opinion is the only correct one and everyone else should believe what you believe, and if they don't they're wrong. It's "Selective Libertarianism".... "everyone should be able to live their life on their own terms.... as long as it's exactly what I believe"....... ...Also, the ability to mute certain posters is the best function on this website, and saves me every day, until someone quotes someone that I've muted. Shame.
  6. the point is that if Hodge says something, you can probably take the exact opposite to the bank.... I thought BLM looked like absolute hot steaming garbage in that game. His throwing shoulder is toast.
  7. You guys are officially ****** now, Bluto.......
  8. this is fair, in a very general sense....
  9. I don't believe anyone ever said that in seriousness. There is a lot of joking on here about Jackson being on the roster purely because of how animated the anti-Jackson sentiment became, but I don't believe there's a single poster who believes that Jackson being on the roster is a good thing.
  10. Interesting in so much as neither of them is any good, but maybe together they equal almost one whole QB??
  11. who on here has seriously said anything about Jackson being responsible for any of Brady O's success???
  12. I know this sounds like stupid rationalization, but normally they don't ever let injured/potentially-injured players anywhere near the media post-game....and Bailey was on the CJOB post game show, so to me, that means he's fine. Wonder if they THOUGHT it was nothing and then it turned out to be something..... sure hope Knuckles isn't right about that one, though he almost always is.
  13. Shitty.... Jets played well, Rags gave them every chance to win it, but that PP is God awful...
  14. Honestly thought the Jets have looked okay (aside from what has to be a league worst PP) in keeping up with one of the best teams in the league and a clear SC favourite. If the Jets manage to scratch and claw a point out of this, that's a huge "win"...
  15. Walters is a magician... if anyone can find a way, it's him. And if anyone's going, it's likely Schoen. As Booch alluded to, Lawler ain't going anywhere. And while Schoen is certainly going to get a raise, I could totally see him working with the club to find a way to keep both guys in order to keep winning.
  16. and at least SOME of those were botched snaps.... (I believe a PAT in the most recent BC game was missed because of a bad snap, IIRC)....
  17. it's absurd to think Lawler isn't going to be here next year.... and I firmly believe they'll find a way to get both he and Schoen under contract. If and when we win the Cup, those guys are gonna wanna stay together. If we can keep Walters, I think he'll work his magic.
  18. Vernon Adams for MOP...... that sentence should just never be written. Insanity.
  19. I wanted nothing more than for Liegghio to figure it out and become that 20-year veteran NI kicker that stays with us forever.... but man oh man, am I ever thankful for Serge and what he's been able to do this year. That game in Calgary proved that he's ready to to be clutch in the crazy Canadian early-winter playoffs...
  20. You're allowed to develop emotional connections to something bigger than you.... and you're allowed to mourn any way you choose, when something you're emotionally attached to disappears. I was crushed when Paul Walker and Heath Ledger passed... and yeah, Farley man...... **** that is brutal. Candy, too.
  21. why do you think you're smarter than the Bombers brain trust? (suggesting that they didn't see this coming but you did) How do you know they didn't see something coming?
  22. the whole conversation about future OL configurations is really interesting, for sure, and worthy of debate on here. I'm really curious to see what things look like down the road. One thing that's interesting to me is that people keep talking about Yoshi in the same breath as Stan in terms of when they'll retire..... but Yoshi is like 5 years younger than Stan. You could maybe make the argument that because his body type is different, and there's more wear and tear on Yoshi, or whatever, but all things being equal, he shouldn't be nearing retirement anytime soon, I wouldn't think.....
  23. obviously none of us really knows, but just based on some Darren Cameron tweets this season, I don't think Stan is hanging them up anytime soon. I'm trying to remember the exact wording of the tweet, but Stan had been mentioned in a positive light after a certain game this year (maybe one of those PFF grades or something like that...) and DC tweeted something along the lines of "and he's not even close to being done yet..." All of which is to say, this post may be moot. I think Stan is going to try and hang on for '25, but we'll see.... I imagine it's all going to come down to how his body is reacting to the wear and tear of a season.
