it's been said a whole bunch, but it bears repeating: Because this fan base supports the team no matter what... through losing and winning and whatever.... we never need to be propped up like BC/Tor/etc. Never need to be fellated like the Gappers do. So nobody outside of this little 204 bubble gives a **** about us, and honestly would prefer that we weren't talked about at a league level. People HATE that the Bombers are now consistently good (in the midst of a true dynasty) and can't wait for this to end so they can go back to ignoring us.

hmmmm... intriguing. I don't know enough about how that works....... does he have the right size/ability to be on the NFL's radar? I never imagined that possibility...

this is super important...... you absolutely shouldn't "favour" the team you cover.... if it was super obvious that Kelly was the MOP, then of course the vote goes there regardless of who you cover. But we're not talking about Doug Flutie vs. ____________ .....it's insane to think that Kelly is somehow the obvious MOP choice. He was not outstanding in any way, and AT WORST, you could say it's a saw off between the two..... and that's where I would expect a voter to lean toward the guy he's watched every single day in practice and called every single game from pre-season to the voting deadline.

Also, are the Bombers really the 2019 TiCats?? That analogy played out last week already....

also, if you don't see the random Riders awards last night as a blatant attempt to give those asshats something to feel relevant about.... you're not paying attention. There are certain organizations/fan bases that, for whatever reason, the league feels the need to always coddle, and others that the league just couldn't care less about.....

isn't Kelly also like 30+?? His NFL days are long past, and as stated, he really isn't that good... this MOP award is pure fabrication from a league desperate to make the Toronto market a "Thing"...

I was saying to 17to85 in our FB group chat earlier today that I think we might see an all time best GC performance (bit of a low bar, but still...) from Zach on Sunday. Not super warm conditions but I still think he's going to have an incredible game.

I'm tempted to say that what these players do off the field means as much or more to me than what they do on the field. Knowing that they're good men and good role models means a LOT to me as a fan. Love that the Kotowich exists.

Also, re jerking off the Riders fans by giving them bullshit awards (and make no mistake this was done to make sure those assholes are always represented).... I sincerely thought Brady was gonna win for his dog rescue efforts. I can't think of anything that unites more people than a love of dogs. Thought that one was gonna be a given. Insane how much our organization is despised by the rest of the league.

I didn't wanna go down this road ... Derek is a good guy and he works hard to cover not just the bombers but the whole league. And I can't imagine how impossible it is to try and follow in the footsteps of the greatest CFL PBP announcer of all time...... But, and I'm not saying this is the right way...... Bob would NEVER have voted against a Bomber that was close enough to be a finalist for a league award.

I was ******* sickened watching these awards. All the Arblow love....two....2 (!!!!) ******* awards for the Riders!!!!??? I honestly kind of wish we were playing Toronto on Sunday now because we would murder them worse than Montreal did last weekend.
