  1. Yeah fumbles can happen, the part that I found the most egregious was how often he failed to get under the ball and catch it. Letting the ball bounce all the damned time is just unacceptable.
  2. Loved the Marvin Coleman returns. Catch the ball in the air every time and go forward.
  3. Mine are just way more explosive than me. I'll get em over distance but little buggers get away before I can react. Though I did get the big 3rd down stuff the other day, kid was trying to go over top the pile from one couch to the other and I timed that **** right and got him midair before he crossed the plane.
  4. are they? cause it looks to me like the coach is putting all his chips in on his old vets that won in 2019 and 2021... where's the rebuild there? Do we really think O'Shea is going to willingly move on from these guys at this point? The problems are the same as they were last year and it's only getting worse as time marches on and these core guys get older. Yeah they won a **** load of games, but if you didn't see the cracks appearing last season and don't see the exact same mistakes being made again this season then I just don't know what to tell you. If we were doing a mini-rebuild one of the rookie american MLBs would have played while bighill was hurt, guys like thomas wouldn't be playing nearly so much, Willie Jefferson would be getting seriously limited reps... but that's not happening, the old farts are still being expected to be their younger selves.
  5. Says the guy who was totally off the deep end of negativity during the game.
  6. Or ya know... just play Eli there...
  7. The old adage is that special teams are a sign of your depth... well I'd agree. Our depth has taken a massive hit the last few years for a variety of reasons and teams have been poor. Not a coincidence in my opinion.
  8. Then why have special teams sucked last year and game 1 this year?
  9. How is it not true? That's exactly what happened. No one is arguing that it was the only choice, just that it is what happened.
  10. Ok.... but as is it's a direct exchange. Bighill comes on an important has to come off... and this is it. No other interpretation possible.
  11. And yet we just dumped gray like yesterday's news in the offseason... so what were they protecting last season?
  12. They had 7 ol on the roster most of last season... and still gave Thomas an emergency ol number in case. It's a wasted spot unless the extremely rare case of more than 2 guys getting hurt in game.
  13. Colin and missing the point, name a more iconic duo.
  14. Don't get me wrong I'd have fired Thomas into the sun last season, but you like the athletes who pop off the page to a fault. Thomas for a lot of years was a good soldier on the team. He's just washed up now.
  15. Let's forget the defense for a moment... why do we need 7 ol dressed? That's a wasted spot objectively.
  16. You've hated Thomas from day one though, brief period when he was playing relatively decently you quieted down on it, but Thomas safe to say is a guy who has never been your type of player.
  17. Even us armchair coaches and gas can see the roster issues and thr problems it caused last season... to continue with the same old same old as if it wasn't a problem is why people are getting angry. There is no need to play on hard mode. None at all. Build the game day roster properly and stop wasting spots or expecting too much from over the hill vets.
  18. You just can't expect mid 30s guys to carry the team like they did when they were early 30s. Just not going to happen, and until oshea realizes that and builds his roster around that we will be playing on hard mode.
  19. So the same **** that cost them last season. Mos buddy... it's oknto not have a million linebackers and it's ok to not need 7 OL and it's ok to not dress a receiver who won't take any snaps. Stop doing this on hard mode.
  20. This is where most people are. No one is saying the team is complete ****, just that they need to alter their approach to maintain the competitiveness for as long as they possibly can. Need to be proactive and always be looking to get better. We all want this to continue, we all want to keep sitting on top of the mountain looking down on everyone else. That's why the passion about the topic.
  21. I wonder about our offense purely from a collaros standpoint.
  22. So I was ok last year running it back because that was a choice and a 1 point loss in the cup fine give it a go. This year needed to be different though because it didn't work last year not going to work any better this year. Honestly would probably be best to get smacked around all of June. Might snap them out of it. But I can't ever hope for losses so go kick ass whoever wears the jersey.
  23. Could be, but if we use bighill as an example... he seems to know what to do and where to be but winds up getting there a day late and a dollar short. Jefferson can be a disruptive impact player... but can't do it every snap of every game.
  24. Someone posted a while back about how towards the end of his playing days the argos oshea was on were basically old vets who could occasionally throw out a big performance but not always. Feel like we're watching the Bombers slide into that as we speak.
  25. So age and lack of depth? Can't go balls to the walls anymore, and for older guys balls to the walls is different than it was 5 years ago. Our key guys have aged a lot since this run began.
