  1. Not ready to buy into a team that has been in the upper echelon the last few seasons? That went toe to toe with the pre-season favourites when starting a raw rookie in his first game at qb in a mess of a delay situation and then curb stomped their next opponent? Come on, this team is clearly in the upper teir of CFL teams based on their recent body of work. Doesn't mean they win every game but it does mean that they have a chance to win every game. This is a good team full of good people who are ridiculously easy to cheer for. Lots of teams you have to over look shitty characters but not on this team. It's a team that puts in an honest effort and really exemplifies the ideals of team work. I haven't heard one guy complain about their stats, everyone just wants to win and that will carry a team a long way. The team is all that matters and right now it appears that this team is as tight as any in the league.
  2. Yeah let's go with Derel Walker Normally you go with someone playing Montreal or Saskatchewan but with those teams playing each other do you trust either offense to get the job done?
  3. I am not sure what is more petty... wanting Durant to have to sit at home retired or making him play for the Riders... Help my spiteful self decide.
  4. Apathy in the states is a big thing because with a right wing party and a super right wing party a lot of people have the mentality that everyone is the same, but if people are going out and voting trying to change that then it means that people want change and change is bad for republicans, very bad because change never includes sticking with the corrupt as all hell stuck in the 1950s party. Change always means a more progressive government.
  5. The best thing this team does is that no one plays any games. Guys generally know where they stand within the organization and there are no wild mood swings that result in out of nowhere firings. The stability is something this team has sorely been lacking for such a long long time.
  6. To me it is more of an indication that people are motivated to vote for a change in the status quo and that should ******* terrify the Republicans. The most terrifying thing for wannabe dictators is a motivated voting base.
  7. You hang onto that barely getting by that awful Als team at home if it makes you feel better about things.
  8. Ray can't run, Willy can't run, Harris can't run, Mitchell can't run, Collaros used to be able to run but he's damaged now and turtles when he feels pressure... Jennings can run but seems more interested in just trying to throw it as far downfield as possible, Reilly could and does run, but again, he mostly just runs to get himself time to find one of his play makers on a pass. It's that whole mentality in the CFL that has changed. Guys are discouraged from running rather than being unable to.
  9. Lots of guys were dual threats back in the day, problem is that the NFL realized these guys are good qbs too and started bring them in leaving the CFL to adapt. CFL has become way way more of a pocket passing league as a result but go back to the 90s and earlier and it was rare to not see the qbs that can run as well as pass. Even the guys that could be running more recently have been turned into pocket passers, the only thing unique about Streveler is that Lapo seems to be willing to let him be that dual threat guy where more coordinators these days just want them to pass first and only run to escape pressure and still wind up passing.
  10. Collaros and Willy, a sad tale of two promising qbs taking too many shots and being broken husks of what they were a few years ago.
  11. I think it's pretty universally accepted that Saskatchewan has the most expensive staff, if only cause there's more coaches than players there.
  12. Oh the league has seen it, just been a while and perhaps people have forgotten just what it looks like.
  13. Alternate theory: this is the cfl keeping costs down for the poor teams, like with the cap on coaches coming in. Can't have Toronto or Montreal having to pay money they don't have. ******* eastern Canada, get your **** together.
  14. Plus, at half time Matt Dunigan said the exact same things about what a smart play it was by the qb to put it behind the receiver, so regardless of whether or not Suitor is an idiot, I'll take Matt Dunigans word on a qbs choice of throw any day.
  15. To me the best part is that if Nichols gets dinged up later in the season we don't need to put him out there to have a chance. Can let the guy be healthy for the late season/playoffs. Bottom line there is nothing wrong with having 2 qbs on the roster that you can win with.
  16. Who are we kidding, the Bombers will never get respect.
  17. I think the real comparable situation is Edmonton when they had Jason Maas and a hot shot rookie Ricky Ray.
  18. I don't think it was a dirty play, Ray got caught in a bad situation of a guy chasing him down from behind and a guy coming in to get him from the front. Unlucky and unfortunate but not dirty.
  19. If he throws that deep it's out the chopped off corner of the endzone, he put the ball where the receiver had a chance to make a play on it and Demski did. It's what good quarterbacks do, they give their receivers a chance to make good plays.
  20. I think with the Argos it's a matter of the rest of the league believing they were better than they actually were. I was out on Saturday and didn't see their game against Calgary, but they were god awful against the Riders in week one and based on the results were as bad against the Stamps. That team is not looking like a danger to repeat as champs.
  21. I bet Jones has a deal in his drawer for him.
  22. There are marker stones all along the border in that part of BC. Yes it is easy to miss but there are markers. But let's be real. The reason this incident escalated the way it did is because it was an undocumented French citizen crossing from Canada into the United states.
  23. As a result goosen and chung were in the ear of everyone after every play. I love our oline
  24. The turn around in Canadian receivers this year to last is just insane. Walter's nailed this years draft.
  25. This is why you don't fire coaches and gms every 2 years. Give a group a chance to actually build something. Where are all the people who wanted to fire everyone a couple years aho5now? Would love to hear from them.
