  1. No one is going to remove the debt, even when Chretien and Martin had no deficits they did that by downloading more burden onto provinces which just put the debt into a different location. Most of what governments do with money is just a shell game. Move it here move it there, hope the plebs are too stupid to know what's really going on.
  2. Trump reportedly contacted Pelosi begging to work something out. Hilarious. That man is such a pathetic sack of ****. Hope he gets sent to prison when this is all done.
  3. Momentum is a very dangerous thing. You don't want to give it away.
  4. Stats like that all the more reason to be pissed at the super soft 2nd half gameplan.
  5. Not all, but there are lots of coaches that know how to coach one way and never change.
  6. Forcing the Republicans to go on record supporting Trump and his lawlessness is worth something IMO.
  7. Shoulda just let Saskatchewan have him in the offseason.
  8. the fact that it's taken this long.....
  9. They have blown 2 massive leads and had 3 games where they gave up late scoring drives to lose. That is a concern because they could have been running away with the division but these recurring problems have prevented it. That is a concern.
  10. Some people have watched the CFL for a long time and have seen this song and dance from these coordinators before.
  11. Yeah we might have lost if either of those things had happened! VAJ was close to being picked off a bunch, but they still pushed the ball and won the game as a result. Sometimes you gotta take the risks. If you are getting bogged down offensively as the Bombers were in the 2nd half and the D is cracking as they were in the 2nd half sometimes you gotta just go out and try and make something happen.
  12. I suspect that the refs have a blindspot when it comes to QBs because it's not usually them doing suspension worthy things. So I can give the onfield ref a pass, but why in gods name did the eye in the sky not see anything? Not that I'm making excuses for the loss or have any bitterness towards that. The loss was easily preventable with or with the Als dirty VAJ still being in the game.
  13. says less about Canadians and more about the parties and their leaders currently IMO. Let's be honest, no one thinks Trudeau is a racist, just that he's an idiot who is so privileged that he doesn't know when he's doing something he shouldn't, but we all knew that about him before he was even elected so why would people's reactions change? Just that our choices this election are between a giant ****** and a turd sandwich.
  14. Honestly I think it was brought up in the chat room during the game that the only deep shot they took was from Adams. Very strange to not let the qb try and deep passes.
  15. why wouldn't they love him? They're getting free cash from him! But it's not socialism though, oh nosiree.
  16. Statistics are ever only as useful as the person interpreting them.
  17. I read it, don't waste your time, it's long on words short on an actual point.
  18. I'm sorry but analysis without looking at the types of plays called is just a waste of time. No one ever said they stopped throwing passes, you have missed the entire point.
  19. can I be angry at the lack of odds and sods?
  20. isn't that what got Joey Elliott run out of town on a rail? He called out Lapo's bullshit?
  21. Streveler was unreal good until Lapo stopped him. The INT was the only blemish otherwise he looked totally in control passing and running. How you take that skillset and nullify it....
  22. You sir have more faith than I do. I truly believe Lapo can neuter any amount of anger.
  23. It's not even that, I believe they can still get first place by taking care of business when they play the Stamps, the thing that keeps me pissed off about this one is that it's exactly the same thing that caused them to gas the Toronto game. You can make that mistake once but you start making it multiple times it's a problem that clearly wasn't corrected.
  24. I agree, Toronto and Montreal they never should have let up, would have been easy wins if they kept playing aggressive ball. Look at Montreal, they didn't get scared of throwing ints, they just went out and made plays. The other one would be Labour Day. Total ***** game plan going in afraid to let Streveler do anything. Wasted the entire first half before he let him play a bit. It's the reason Lapo was a loser as a head coach here unless his defense won the game for him. He can come up with some brilliant game plans and play calling at times, but his passive nature and abject fear of making mistakes costs him so many games.
  25. you can say it all you like, but it's still going against the natural tendencies of those guys. And you know I don't think O'Shea is totally opposed to the philosophy, and that's OK, but sometimes they go way way too far. Actually this game I am less angry at Ritchie Hall than I am at Lapo. Were some big busts in the coverage that gave up too many big chunks in short order, that you can say the players missed their assignments. Lapo is the guy I am angry at. You dominate the entire first half and take your foot so far off the gas in the 2nd half that it forces the defense into the situation where they need to make stops. That's just unacceptable. You put together one of those long drives in the 4th quarter you don't have to worry about the Als coming back.
