  1. and when he flubs one like he did on saturday all his coverage guys are caught out of position letting Grant run basically untouched into the endzone. They gotta haul ass so fast to try and get downfield to cover if it's ever short they are in trouble.
  2. Depending on if Harris is out or not I actually think the Esks are a far better team than the Riders are. It is a great shame that they don't play until the end of the year.
  3. why are we pretending that the guy who has won a **** ton of games for this team over the last few years and this year as well wouldn't have been able to beat the Riders? Just because Streveler ran a bunch doesn't mean that it was the only option available and that Nichols would have been in those exact same situations. Both of our QBs have shown themselves capable of winning games. It's a good thing here folks and you don't have to choose just one, you can support both players.
  4. 100% I do. Saskatchewan are pretenders, either of our qbs could have dispatched them, it just would have looked different.
  5. The Riders OL was absolute crap both games against us, it is surprising that fajardo didn't leave in a body bag the amount of hits he took cause no one could block for him.
  6. They really don't like reality, much prefer their make believe world where the Riders are always the best at everything.
  7. Canadian elections these days, it's a choice between a giant ****** or a turd sandwich. That's why voter turn out is so low. Can't imagine how few people will vote federally either given the horrendous choices of leaders we got there.
  8. it's an old timey saying.
  9. we can all aspire to be as objective and credible as Rod Pedersen.
  10. well that settles it, first place is a must and a guaranteed Grey Cup berth.
  11. I just find it interesting that both INTs on Labour Day were passes thrown to Demski. I got nothing against the kid, but I just think we rely too much on him when he'd be better suited to a more complimentary role.
  12. Well the guy has been playing silly buggers with Iran since day 1 so I am not sure how you can deflect it from him... His finger prints are all over that whole situation.
  13. That one in particular I am putting on the coaches though. It was clearly a called throw to get the ball out quickly without really looking, Sask D was just waiting for it.
  14. That is pretty precisely the reason for that stat. Jumping between divisions as much as the Bombers have done makes first in the west a pretty meaningless stat all things told.
  15. Can't win the Grey Cup without making the playoffs so step 1 of the journey is just get into the playoffs however you can. I don't expect it'd take anything crazy to get a home playoff game anyway. Beat the gappers again at least and you probably get at least the semifinal in Winnipeg. Beat Calgary again as well and you are probably pretty locked in for first... unless of course they completely crap their pants. I would worry about having 2 bye weeks finishing first, but if that's the "problem" then so be it.
  16. everyone focused on the last drive to lose the game on Labour Day, but there was that bad INT in what was I believe field goal range in the 2nd half as well that could have been the difference too.
  17. and downright terrifying for the implications to the rest of the world.... Good bye western supremacy? Praise be to the eastern overlords of the world?
  18. Pretty sure last year was the first time a 9 win team ever missed the playoffs so I would suggest that given how utterly trash BC and the east is this season 9 wins should pretty much have our playoff spot wrapped up.
  19. smoke and mirrors.
  20. Stats with no context! What a great idea! Gotta talk about the types of attempts when it comes to hands or you are just wasting time
  21. I wonder if they didn't think that there was some interference on the initial contact with the receiver, cause yeah after they disengaged Bailey just tripped.
  22. I think you may be right. there were a few of the deeper throws you could see instantly that he knew he simply missed. The guy is smart, he knows what he does well out there and what he doesn't. Got a lot of time for a physical freak who knows he has to keep improving.
  23. The biggest thing holding Fajardo back is his arm. The deep throws are floaters and it's no wonder that Rose got the pick on one of the few deep shots they took. With Fajardo you are basically forced to run a quick hitter offense, which as teams learn about your strengths and weaknesses can game plan around and I suspect you will see that happen going forward here. I sincerely doubt that Fajardo is able to toss a ball into a tight window if he has to as well. As guy like Davis at least can rifle the ball.
  24. whitehead has been good as a receiver I think, I think the problem with him is Lapo sees him as more of a gimmick than a straight up receiver. Let him have the role Dressler had last year and see what we can get out of him cause I think that would work well. He's catching the balls that he should and we know he can score from anywhere.
  25. Hansen is a nice story but let's not fool anyone, he is way below the other guys we have.
