The GOP would never allow paper ballots only. Too much to lose without easily hacked voting machines.

This is what happens when you don't pay your lawyers.

GOP Gaslight - Obstruct - Project

The only way Trump could crush Fox News is if he were to own it and run it like he has all his other businesses.

But it was Clinton who would have been too emotional to be president.

Oh I have no doubts that they will find fraud if they look hard enough for it.... but not on the Democrats part.
-
It sure does, but Moscow Mitch doesn't compromise. They expect everything from the Democrats and give nothing. They broke that system by refusing to compromise so Democrats need to reply in kind.

If that were the extent of peoples reactions then fine, but you and I both know there were people who shat all over Glenn.
-
Nah Glenn was always being shat on for being ok but not great.
-
Yeah this is why the polls don't always show what happens. Republicans are very good at keeping people from voting.

Oh yeah like lawyers work in big skyscrapers and have secretaries. Look at him! He's wearing a belt! That's Hollywood for you.

FYI, shale oil is not the only time that franking is used. There is a ton of fracking in other areas that is more profitable. The problem with shale oil is that the wells don't last. They die off quickly and the initial investment doesn't pay off.

Trump and Co. today as states continue to count votes:
-
Sure maybe some of it does, but there's lots of issues at play here, and honestly people expect a Biden win in PA and Michigan now that advance ballots are being counted... so what was your point? Honestly I don't think it's as big a deal as you make it out to be. Those oil and gas votes are the types that are likely to find other reasons to vote R rather than Democrat anyway. It's good policy to plan for a transition away from fossil fuels anyway. That doesn't mean you do it all at once and I don't think the Democrats are planning that anyway, but planning for the future is something every government needs to do. It's the big flaw in Alberta too. Kenney and his voters want to go all in on oil and gas, but the world is saying "yeah we need to plan to get away from that". Just tired of backwards assed thinkers trying to make the world see things their way.

But I think this year is an abnormal year. There were a lot of early ballots. Reasons for those likely are driven by the bullshit going on with the postal service, concerns about covid, feeling passionate about getting a vote in. All things a democratic voter is more likely to do than a republican voter. The electoral system in the states is an overly complicated antiquated system and it's not as simple as just watching things as they happen live. With Elections Canada at least everything is consistent, in the States you get each state having different rules. Things get close enough then it gets decided by a 2 man sack race on consecutive sundays.

Too many of the pundits on TV last night were treating this like a normal election and thinking it was a disaster for Biden. It really wasn't now that you are seeing the massive numbers of mail in ballots actually being counted. Still closer race than a lot of people wanted to see, but given how hard the republicans worked to suppress votes it's not unexpected.

It was said during the BLM protests, racism is so american that it's considered anti-american to protest it.

What is there to learn when you know everything already?

Biden is collecting more votes than Trump. As I said, the system is rigged in favour of the less popular candidate. No one screams louder than republicans, and yet they believe they are the silent majority. The silent majority are sadly the non-voters. Too much apathy on one side and too much ignorance on the other.
-
Which is the message he's been on about for weeks now.

You are so daft. Those other states are ones that Democrats actually wanted to win. And ones they felt they had a chance to win. Like I said, people got excited about close polls, but no one ever seriously thought Texas was going to flip. They hoped, but they didn't count on it like they did some of those other states. Hell even Florida was not a state that Biden put a lot of effort into.
-
But Republicans have lost the popular vote 7 of the last 8 elections. There clearly are not as many as you think, It's just purely down to the way districts are drawn up, which happens to play into republican hands with so many podunk small population states getting as many senators as larger states. The system down there is horribly broken and gives the minority a path to unchecked power which they are using to solidify the advantages in their favour. Republicans are the vocal minority no questions asked. The difference really is that republican voters go out and vote every time and a lot of left leaning people just sit at home because they don't have the ideal candidate.
-
Yes it is. Once the polling showed a close race people started hoping, but no one seriously thought Texas was in play. Like I said, the excitement comes form the fact that Texas is moving away from being a Republican stronghold into something that might be in play.
