  1. On pace means so little given the super soft schedule BC had to start the year.
  2. Yeah I've described the Bombers as a ground and pound team before. They just don't need to be this high flying team, they just go out and physically grind their opponents down.
  3. Yeah when this team wants to send a message it's not just going out and trying to out fancy teams, they just go out and punch guys in the mouth and then keep doing it play after play. Given how much this team has seemingly slept through the last month BC must have really annoyed them 2 weeks ago because last night was an ass kicking.
  4. Given that he didn't look anywhere near as good as VAJ why even rush him? He clearly isn't the lions beat chance to win at this moment so why put him at risk?
  5. No he looked real good out there.
  6. Buck spent most of Prukops time showing different things... now everyone has to dedicate more time to our prukop packages in short yardage. Brilliant.
  7. I loved that for so many reasons. Bombers defence sick and tired of hearing about Rourke the boy wonder.
  8. If the lions start rourke they are morons. VAJ at this point is the superior qb. Rourke was rusty as **** and was not accurate. Despite Suitor slobbering all over Rourke a qb who can't run is not going to win you a playoff game.
  9. probably young and feeling invincible.
  10. BC was awfully proud of themselves after last week, totally different body language tonight. Tonight the Bombers sent a message and that message was "you sure you want to come back here in a couple weeks?" They have no answer for Collaros, the OL was bullying them, Oliveira was not stopped, the dbs got back to laying the wood on receivers, DL pressured qbs. special teams tightened up. That was the Bombers team we know.
  11. Collaros goes in for 2 series, does enough to beat the ***** cats.
  12. On that contract, not on a new contract
  13. An option year it just that, it's an option (by the team in this case) to have that player for the 3rd year at a known cost. But nowhere does it say a new contract can't be drawn up which renders the option year moot.
  14. The season doesn't start until labour day... but also Rourke is the next Flutie!
  15. Yeah he absolutely can. You got media talking about giving him year end awards for half a seasons work (in the summer no less). That is definitely overrated. The way some people talk about him you'd think he was bigger than Jesus. Over rated. But still a good qb.
  16. Especially ones so seemingly desperate for success like BC. Honestly I hope someone on our DL absolutely buries Rourke within the rules the first time he drops back to pass.
  17. He can be a good qb worthy of an NFL look and massive raise and still be over rated you know. But again, don't cut yourself on all that edge you're posting with.
  18. Won't somebody please think of the shareholders!!!!
  19. Reading comprehension really isn't your strong suit eh? Nothing in what you posted says they need to do the third year as an option.
  20. Jesus christ it's in the name of the ******* deal... OPTION. As in club has the option of making the deal a 3rd year with the above terms. Nothing says they have to exercise that option.
  21. It's not just about old vs. Young. Also have to consider the position and relative importance to a team. Reality is that qbs are a hell of a lot harder to replace than receivers are and quarterbacks mean so much more to a team. I don't want winnipeg playing games with Collaros health, but a guy like Ellingson? Ehhhh big deal. Bc should be treating Rourke very carefully because he is that important to them not only on the field but as part of their brand rebuilding.
  22. Boy did you just sum up your entire philosophy there.... You need context with everything because it is a bad look for a team to gamble with their young franchise player with his entire career ahead of him... while it's not nearly such a bad look for an old receiver to gamble coming back because he's nearly done anyway.
  23. It's 2 years plus an option. "No we're not picking up the option, but hey here's a new multi-year deal as your 2nd contract". Pretty standard stuff really.
