  1. That is the big part to me... collaros they are going for 2 more good years out-of... but then what?
  2. It's a risk but we saw brown execute thus offense as effectively as collaros (maybe more). Less risky than brown going somewhere without the same pieces.
  3. Collaros would help himself so much if he ran with the ball more.
  4. I saw some very big backwards steps from collaros this season and he's at an age where that is concerning. Then you consider his salary and the impact that has had on the teams depth.... It's a conversation I don't expect the team to have but feel they should. What happens if we lose brown and collaros regressed more?
  5. Have you considered that this need to have all the information now is part of the problem? The socials are not good for people's mental health. You don't know how many times I've suggested that my wife just stop scrolling Facebook or Instagram. It causes her anxiety. Course she never listens.
  6. My counter point to this is that we were a tremendous Brady Oliveira season away from a LOT more criticism being leveled on Collaros. They had to adjust massively to try and keep the pocket clean and when it wasn't he struggled mightily.
  7. Yeah it's perhaps mislabelling it on my part. I'm thinking explosive against other guys. Like Holm ain't gonna explode into someone a d drop them. He just wraps up and tackles.
  8. Holm is not a real explosive player, which is why booch is not as high on him as others. Guy likes his explosive players. Personally I think Holm brings a lotnof good things, but physicality isn't really one of them and that is what I think prevents him from being a guy with NFL interest.
  9. I don't see it. At the risk of sounding too much like booch... Holm is too skinny for the NFL to look at i think.
  10. I don't see it as finger pointing so much as a guy desperately trying to justify playing in the game
  11. Yeah mos won't cut bighill but a GM can take that choice away from him.
  12. The flashes are because that's the type of back he is. Can bust some big plays but he won't grind out runs like Brady does. He's a nice change of pace type back... but that's not super useful to this offense to be honest.
  13. No it's not, he's the same quarterback he has always been. Make him think he will beat himself. Unfortunately Ritchie Halls default is very easy to read blitzes. If we had simply gone with the same defense that we used in the West final we could have seen the same result. Massive fail by the coaches of the Bombers.
  14. No I think jbr is right, db read collaros the whole way and went where the ball was going. He looks to demski the db goes there. Either option there was a chance for a score IMO, just needed better placement on the ball. I know some people say Lawler could have caught it... but then simplest thing is to put the ball to the back of the endzone and avoid the coverage all together.
  15. So if that's the case why the **** wasn't he already starting? But he still is, for unexplained reasons Hall didn't challenge him at all. Fajardo is a one read and throw or tuck and run qb. Why did Hall do his one read defense? Played into the hands of a limited qb.
  16. People don't talk enough about grays struggles at guard too. Eli and Dobson for kolankowski and gray is worth a shot.
  17. What was Collaros' excuse for looking like **** vs. Edmonton then?
  18. He tucked the ball and turned upfield, to me it was 100% a fumble. However the command centre over turning that was probably too iffy.
  19. are we sure about that though? last year, the year before absolutely believe that... but this year he didn't show the ability to get back into it. BC in the first game, labour day, probably some others I'm not remembering but he had a hell of a time shaking things off like he has in the past this year.
  20. he got blocked at the LOS, it was houston had a shot at the tackle and whiffed. hey I posted earlier in the season asking if the time was right to move Collaros out to go with Brown. So it's not a knee jerk to this one game.
  21. Forget Gauthier. The real question should have been would Wilson or Clements or Cole have broken up that pass? Maybe. Gauthier can remain a teamer and occasional rotational guy thanks.
  22. I didn't notice any difference in the offense with Brown running it vs. Collaros, and in some cases he ran it better (vs. Edmonton for example) at 35 going on 36 Collaros is not a sure bet to maintain his play which is already slipping.
  23. if you also paid attention some of us have said for a while now that Collaros being the best qb in the league is more an indictment of the quality of quarterbacking around the league than it is a true mark in Collaros favour. Guy can play and win a lot of games, but 3 straight duds in Grey Cups (one an all time defence bailed him out) and a lot of cracks showing up this year means that, to me at least, a $600K on the wrong side of 35 may not be the best investment anymore. If he's going to get happy feet any time he senses pressure even more so. So it's less of was he the best qb this year, and more will he continue to be?
