Schoen was the best receiver in the league last year scarver was not. The point here isn't to tally up near misses, the point is that in order to win you need to be able to make the plays at the key times. Something this team did with great regularity the past 3 seasons. This year not so much. They appear to be resting on their laurels this year assuming they will make the play rather than actually going out and doing it.

This is Ritchie Hall. He blitzes guys a ton, but it's not usually anything crazy, just get to the qb and force him to throw before he wants to. 2nd half because it was nothing new they adapted and you don't bring the guy down he has tons of room. Hall does a lot of good things as a defensive coordinator but his defense is maddening to watch sometimes.

Yeah scrambling and taking advantage of piss poor tackling isn't a long term winning strategy. Well that sucked This is where I say the coaches lost this one. They thought it was in the bag and let the depth play all 2nd half thinking they could just bring it home.

To me this was a 2 part loss, 1 part coaches 2 part complete lack of focus and urgency by this team which has been a problem all year
