Football Canada won't be able to adjust fields even if they want to. Talking millions upon millions of dollars to do that from high school and community programs that just scrape by relying on donations to try to let kids play. Most programs are struggling to buy equipment and field paint that all comes from the US. Cans of field paint up 150% since the start of this decade. Helmets and shoulder pads almost doubled in price. Tariffs on everything, all coming up from US. We can't charge people $1500 in fees for a football season and expect the sport to keep growing. Charge $500, have half the people able to pay even that, rely on fundraising, donations and programs that will cover fees for people who can't pay within limits.

Ottawa also could have offered him an active roster spot. In that case, the Bombers need to activate him or let him go.

I think the GM and lack of personnel department is the problem. Trying to run a personnel department with 2-3-4 people is tough. Ottawa and Toronto have really been trying to do it with 2-3 this season.

Dual threat, pop gun arm otherwise he'd be making millions in FBS. A lot like Streveler in passing style, accurate, really needs to follow through on vertical routes, good intermediate arm on the move.

Nobody has consistently separated themselves from the pack. Montreal's D is hugely suspect when the O isn't piling up TOP and their special teams are a problem. Edmonton is like a reverse 2010 Bombers, winning most of their games very tight, very reliant on opponent blunders, a couple amazing late game drives/plays of their own. BC seems to have their number though. Be part of the pack and peak in the next 10 weeks and you have as good of a chance as anyone. At this point BC is one of the scarier teams to me. When they play their best, they are the best. You just don't see it every week.

We're basically running a high school passing offense without the 1-2 receivers that make life a little easier for the QB. The fact our QB has to be on the head of the pin on any pass or we have to spring guys WIDE OPEN means our degree of difficulty is way too high to be consistent passing the ball.

Not many big plays. Gave up 3 TD's in first half, nothing in third Q and one in garbage time. Still only 284 net yards when a lot of the second half Als were trailing 2-3 scores. Usually teams pile up yards in games like that. Two of the TD drives Als started around midfield or better. Would like to know on the one big pass WTF Jefferson was doing and if that was called or just him being a moron. Went from strong side edge twisted to weak side B gap and then Alexander just rolled out and stood there all day. Pass rush needs to be way more disciplined. But this is the best game we've played in two years in terms of guys attacking the ball at all levels of the D.

I don't see a need for Nichols to be on the field. He doesn't play physical. He's backing off when it's time to fill in vs the run from half. Let him coach and mentor and if we need him due to other injuries put him back in. Maybe if he takes 6 weeks off he'll be healthy when we need him next. Safety in this scheme is as much man cover as any other spot and he is getting torched week after week.

Collaros was on the mark with the ball the past couple weeks to not put it in danger. Lots of great throws in both games putting the ball on the back shoulder so only his guy could get it. Even that Demski PI on the first play....half the people I'm watching with are trying to tell me it's an underthrow. He put it on the back shoulder so Demski has a chance to get it. He's not outrunning that DB on his inside hip if that ball is just put out there. The ball is put on the back shoulder so he can adjust before the DB can and it's either a flag or a big catch. Montreal was playing a tough scheme last night. Lots of dropping 8-9. Really only run blitzing consistently if the Bombers had double tights in, lots of show and drop. And no balls up for grabs. Basically a perfect game for a QB. And you can see the zip on some of those balls to Nield and Clercius when he really had to get it there deep in his reads or on the screens which are often 25-30 yard passes in the air that have to get there within a couple seconds of the snap.

Nichols not being in was a big difference. When they isolated Texada and Vaval they made plays. When teams isolate Nichols, a guy is running down the field all alone.

If we didn't **** around in both Edmonton games we'd be 1st in the West going into Labour Day. Not to mention that BC game.
