The only real impactful move they could have done differently in free agency 2025 is do what it takes to keep Lawler. The rest of the internal guys you're looking at guys at the end of the road moving on or all the JAGs sitting on Hamilton's IR. Really should have been planning for this Grey Cup coming out of 2023. Start rebuilding the lines, and really rebuilding them. Like basically start from scratch. We seem to have real issues finding Americans other than DB's. Been 2-3 years with huge holes in receiving core. Have found one real CFL player in that crew when we've been easily 2-3 short for a couple seasons. I think Jenkins could be a real special CFL edge rusher. Name names.

Disagree. I think there are major changes coming on the roster and honestly have been the past two years too. They’ve just been league worst at finding Americans who can play and gain trust to get out there out of camp, including free agency. We’ve changed a coordinators every off-season for 3 years straight. Rebuilt both sides of the ball with almost no success. Special teams finally got back to being impactful this season. OL needs total rebuild. They’ve tried to rebuild receiving corps but massive fail there. Wilson about the only guy they’ve added in 3 years who’s developed any trust with Zach. People want Collaros head but there’s no real alternative from Day 1 2026. Start really thinking succession. Get some actual targets and protection.

You can fill in the blanks on Danny Mac but he’s arguably the best example of the old boys club issues going on in this organization. Everyone who has done 5 minutes of due diligence on him for a job where he’s a face of the organization even up to OC has walked away. And it’s not totally related to how he understands the CFL. He’s someone who needs to go here and has for years. It’s funny for the people claiming others in the org are inept and toxic pushing him as a candidate for a leadership role in the front of a professional organization.

McManus would be all time dysfunctional organization. Think of what the job of GM is. He’s not even good at the personnel part. Why hasn’t he got hired? The pool isn’t deep and he’s been in the shallow end for 15 years.

Willie is borderline useless if the QB doesn’t throw the ball right at him.

I’m sadly at a point of believing the CFL is on a descent to irrelevance steeper than any time in the history of the league. And I have no faith in really any of the leadership including Wade Miller to get the nose of the plane back up. There’s 2 of 9 markets that are stable and able to pay their bills from operations. The core fan base is in decline and there’s really no broad strategy to change that other than bastardizing the sport and moving it more and more to being a spring league. All things that kill the brand rather than build it.

I don't even put any value on this depth chart because if Demski is out they will make several moves.

Wilson is not a toolsy QB at all. Out of 20 passes, 1 was great. That's ******* horrific for any QB at this level. He can't pass on the move and the only reasonable skill he has is running off a rollout/boot. Low velocity passes, poor accuracy, poor decisions. Can't put the ball on a guy. Any pass over about 5 yards is a lob or in the dirt. Guy has zero confidence is his own arm. There's not anything to develop there on a guy who is 28 by next training camp.

We haven't played Montreal with a QB. I'd way rather play VAJ in November.

Jaworski has kind of the Ceresna, inverse Casey Sayles vibe. Not a great get off, but huge motor. Could see him being useful at either edge spot and 3 tec too. I'd put him or Jenkins on over Person for playoffs. Jenkins is pure get off press the edge type guy. Going to blow contain a bunch, but also going to get into the backfield a bunch. We haven't had that in years.

Peterson has straight line speed if there's a big gap but he has no explosiveness at all. Chris-Ike can play in the muck a bit more. A little iffy on the handle though. I kind of like how they've used him, but should use him more as an outlet from that H-back spot.
