  1. Was non-contact on a scramble.
  2. Depending on opponent and what they do, we play about 40-60% of the time on D with one LB out there since we've went to more 40 fronts...and it's usually Jones...then Jones and Wilson when we have 2 out with the dime subbing out. I don't count SAM as a LB.
  3. And hardly anything to worry about when you're getting nothing from too many American spots, particularly at receiver.
  4. Easily most balanced roster we've put on the field. Arguably best, but without Schoen. See if Logan gets offensive reps. Don't really care about dropping Jones. They don't use him on D. They don't use Ayers or Wilson on D a ton either. Between those 3 spots you're looking at most 40 snaps a game. And that's on the high end (last week) so far. They've needed to flip that DI to O for 9 games (aside from the Cooley experiments). Finally did.
  5. That's for guys who already signed here and went down in the middle of their rookie deal. Like when Ford was gone he ran down a year. Otherwise for guys who have never been in the CFL they would need to be on NFL 53 man or IR for 3 games in a season for it to count. PR doesn't.
  6. Max for first two seasons is $85,000 including bonuses for 1st-4th round CFL Draft Picks.
  7. Lawler has averaged 11 games a season since the shortened 2021 season. This is the first season he's been healthy/not in trouble since then.
  8. Morgan looked a lot more dangerous to me as a passer than Evans.
  9. Dandy was great in pre-season. Physical, aggressive to the ball. Looked like a guy who has the skill set to play boundary corner in Canadian Football.
  10. Yeah probably not worth his deal but also notable that like 2/3 of our passing yards against are on the crew we've had trying to fill that spot this season.
  11. I don't think they would have signed Elgersma if they weren't willing to keep him on PR for a couple years if he showed any flash. CFL really ****** themselves with the rookie contract because there's zero chance a guy like Elgersma would come up until his NFL shot is totally done. And at this point there's probably 10-12 teams that would PR him if Green Bay doesn't. Maybe he'd come up to actually play if he could make $350,000 or $400,000 CAD. The stats don't mean much but what he's showing does. He's a guy they automatically view as incredibly raw but toolsy. But he's producing easily against the guys in his bracket. So he's earned a shot somewhere to keep developing in the NFL. And there's no chance he'd even consider the CFL as long as he has that because he'll make as much as the Bombers can sign him for in 3 weeks on the NFL PR.
  12. People here are always clamoring for the shiny new toy. The guy who can't make a team anywhere is going to be an all-world player...if he just gets a chance.
  13. 3 of our DI's take almost no reps on O or D, obviously one is a kicker. We wouldn't be losing much if Ayres or Jones weren't dressed if the trade off is a solid, reliable OL. We have 3 good Americans. OL is the most crucial position group. Make that strong as possible we have a chance at a consistent offence. Get the run game going so we can consistently use playaction and open up space down the field. Leave it as is, we are what we are. Look fine against teams with shitty D, can't do anything against any of the teams with a quick DL. I'd also be in favour of moving on from Kolankowski or Neufeld, or kicking Neufeld to C. Again...are we playing to win the Grey Cup or develop Wallace for when he signs with BC in 2027?
  14. Yeah but it's going to be similar to Dobson in terms of what he gets to on his next deal. You'd like to see a bit more progress heading into next season, last on his rookie deal. He's got way better feet that Dobson and I like that he is seeking out contact...but too much opening the gate in pass pro to do it, turning his hips, chasing blocks. Teams 100% have deemed that B gap vulnerable to blitz if they run stunts with their tackles to move Wallace around. I don't think we should have 3 Canadian OL (of who we have) on the field this season unless we had some crazy injury bug. Once Vanterpool is back they should be starting him, Bryant and Randolph.
  15. Think he's actually doing a pretty good job of making chicken salad out of chicken ****. Oliviera looks like he's about 70%. Have one go-to guy in Demski. Sterns seems somewhat reliable. Everyone else is a basketcase. So his best receivers are the two guys under 5'10. OL is not assignment sound. Wallace is physical, but can be easily tricked to chase a block and give up the most direct route to the QB/ball carrier. Discipline and awareness not there yet. Kolankowski and Neufeld get beat straight up more often than not. Randolph has been the only consistent piece.
  16. Or run some kind of zone read with Streveler and Oliviera to force the D to cover every gap and even think pass is possible. Or just run a normal play with Collaros out there. Honestly I'd just give up on the Streveler run pack because we're not executing our basic run stuff well and Streveler is also not much of a weapon on the run with his knee now. Yeah Cam Allen is the first guy we've played this year aside from Nichols and Holm who is confident enough to make a play on the ball.
  17. Or you run a better sequence starting from 2nd and 3 to keep the offense out there.
  18. I think you just do what you can to avoid kicking 55+ yard FG's when they aren't necessary. Yeah it's nice to know you have a guy with that range, but there's a lot risk in those kicks, snap, hold, kick, easier to block with a bit different timing.
  19. I don't mind that call or that throw to Demski. Play is right there to be made. Ottawa was playing a cover 2 cut worried about protecting FG range so the deep ball was the right read, and it was there. Kind of an incredible play by 3rd string safety (starter and backup for Ottawa both went out to injury in this game)
  20. Ottawa handed us that ball back when they could have run the clock to OT. How the **** does Dyce still have a job?
  21. We better hope Crum hands us the ball in OT because our D is completely gassed.
  22. That's Ottawa's 3rd string safety who picked that off.
  23. Think about the FG attempt we gave up to try to convert a 2nd and 14 with half a minute left in the first half.
  24. We had 4 non lineman on the field for that kick and two of them were kickers.
