I think in that case of full blitz Daniels is probably supposed to take the SAM. He just kind of waggles, takes two steps then watches in horror realizing he totally missed his assignment.

Looked to me like Daniels totally missed reading that blitz in the protection. He's the extra guy if there's a blitz.
