Calgary's entire game plan is to take away the vertical stuff. If no one is going to make a play involving YAC in our receiving corps it's lights out.

Worst thing to do here is stop running the ball.

The sad thing is Jefferson has never been an every down player. He has some exceptional skills but effectively zero motor. If you're running a defense around him you need to have a solid plan for that.

Mills literally blocked the guy covering Alford downfield. Throw the challenge flag.

So if our D shifts at all Calgary's RT is just going to start running around? That's not offside.

Zero awareness of the ball on a terrible pass that should have been an easy INT.

We have one DL who only puts his hands up and the rest don't at all.

Call the zone busters.

Have to try to isolate someone on a vertical, Wheatfall or Schoen.

Ball security has not been great either. Think he better break one soon.

Demski not the guy for that route if DB on inside leverage. Can't throw that. Shouldn't call that.

Bring in Peterson to run that wide zone as the soften up.

And if you're bringing it out you run full speed until you hit something.

JFC Jefferson needs to finish a play. Adams has no room there if he just runs to the sideline.

And Vaval. They chose to keep Ball which you think the peanut gallery here would love since he played NCAA. Not sure we need to navel gaze over the 58th roster spot not going to a 6th round pick from 2021 who just got released for the third time.

My partially qualified opinion… BC is ok because they can host every 3-4 Grey Cups. Calgary and Edmonton are both in real trouble. Like there’s no way they aren’t burning $5 million a year on operations. Need stadiums and play in really tough CFL markets in this era. Montreal loses a lot of money on operations and has no ability to make that back on hosting Grey Cups anymore. Toronto is as usual. Ottawa needs to win soon or they will be in trouble too. I don’t believe the earlier schedule has been positive for league revenue. If anything it’s harming them at the gate.

I don’t think you can add another guy on D at expense of O. We basically have 3 backups on O. It’s more Vanterpool vs Cooley vs Mitchell for that spot. If they wanted to change/add on DL they’d be sitting Ayres or changing up LB’s.
