  1. At least we're paying Bailey six figures to be the best damn blocking 3rd receiver in the league.
  2. So why have on-field officials at all? They have to make a call even if it's close. Collaros dives for a "potential fumble" incomplete pass they didn't blow dead and breaks his wrist or separates his shoulder and then what? The whistle would have been moot on the review if Calgary made a clean recovery. There's no issue with the application of the rule or replay for those type of plays.
  3. BC needs to develop a run game. O'Connor can't pass well enough to be viable with his lack of mobility at this level. Shitty arm, yeah can throw far but can't fit the ball in because it has to be a rainbow, so no mid-range accuracy. Pipkin and BC's current 3rd stringer are both RPO type QB's leaning more towards the R. Get another tailback rostered and run to pass. BC's OC is probably the worst run designer in the league over his time. Leaves it all on the QB.
  4. Ford or Demski. We have no skill guys on PR. Could bite us this week depending on how injury list plays out.
  5. If Grant continues to be out there's a pretty easy opportunity to roster an import back if Oliviera is out. Too bad we haven't had one on the PR. Punt returner would be nice too, really tempting fate just throwing guys out there who don't have confidence to catch them. 5 NI's on O, 2 on D. So you need to have 3 OL, 2 receivers/RB on field at all times for NI's. Some insulation there for import backup. On D you need 2 NI's on field at all times, usually have one in the secondary for sure, 3 rotating DL (Thomas, Hansen, Lawson) plus 3 rotating LB's in Gauthier, Briggs, Maruo depending on packages.
  6. On D. The problem for BC was they declared 4 starters on O but don't have the players to run that without the QB. In the long-term they probably need to start 3 NI OL instead of 3 imports. They play 4 non imports (including globals) on the DL. They often play 2 non import LB's. But they declared 4 on O, only 3 on D.
  7. You can play him without counting him as one of the 7 starters. It's not the passport that matters it's how they declared the roster.
  8. Our special teams cover and run D need to learn a lot from the Calgary game.
  9. No it's incredibly stupid. They could have just adjusted their DL/LB rotation to have one more Canadian on D at all times. Most snaps they play more than they need on D. If you have Rourke and a Canadian backing him up it's not much of an issue, but if you only dress one Canadian QB you can't have that guy as one of your 7.
  10. You're missing the point I'm making. Not Rourke, O'Connor. He was one of their 7 starters, 4 on O. So when O'Connor couldn't play and they subbed in Pipkin, American, they had to play their Canadian fullback as their tailback to keep 4 Canadians on the field on O.
  11. Starting the Canadian QB as one of their O starters completely screwed over BC when he went down. Another Rick Campbell genius moment.
  12. His arm is also not strong enough to hit many routes with accuracy. Fine throwing floaters.
  13. Neither is the right pick.
  14. Condell needs to get canned soon. Way to help a struggling QB...have him throw at stationary targets all night.
  15. God MBT is 4th all-time is Argos passing yards.
  16. Shiltz can't skip anymore leg days.
  17. Want the best for the stretch run and playoffs. The others go back to U Sports and amateur.
  18. Nah doesn't really work like that. Eventually they put him over to more of a weak-side LB spot with Gauthier in the box and were able to stop the run in the 4th a bit more consistently. There were more than a few plays where everyone did their job vs the run but Bighill among others did not finish the play. The rally to the ball was not there for the most part. There were lots of plays where guys were getting washed out on inside zone. Would help a lot vs Calgary's scheme if our backside ends got a lot more active. Don't really have to worry about the QB pulling the ball down and that's the guy who is basically left unblocked especially when they run the trap block. I'd like to see Wilcots back on the roster at some point to take more reps on first down and let Jefferson focus on the pass. You can just see with Clements and Rutledge that they are trying to get their assignments down in pass coverage and that's being exploited to some extent with both the matchups opponents are isolating on those spots and in the run game. After last night I wondered about giving Rutledge some run at safety. Darby is on the outs in Hamilton, get him back. SAM is a bad spot for a rookie.
  19. They go from 5 to 4 reffing crews after this week of the season. Bradbury will be working in Command Centre and ref development.
  20. Better than Wade Miller.
  21. Sask is such a poorly coached team now and that's the difference. They had a run where they were a team that was very disciplined that would capitalize. Now they are a mess under the current regime, a bunch of individuals. But they have enough good players that they could take over a game here and there with some big plays. Important to get some early points on the board then pull away in 2nd half.
  22. Don't need booze with that much head trauma.
  23. Not really sure. Kind of like him as the RB/SB hybrid not sure he's a full time receiver. Would like a look at Harrison. Bailey blocks but man he's letting us down with his hands.
