  1. hell yeah brother. right now in 2025 I am grateful for every CFL kickoff.
  2. my brain says 2008, but my heart is hoping for 1988. We had zero business winning it all in 1988, we had a popgun offence that came alive to beat Hamilton in the snow, and then we shocked the fat and happy first-place Argos, and then Bob Cameron and Mike Gray and the weather gods said "Not today, Lions" and somehow we were the champs. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow, I very much doubt we'll see an involuntary coaching change, even though I'm starting to feel like Osh has run his course.
  3. Yeah, JLo had a beast mode for sure -- was hoping he would stick around and be a long-time bomber but alas. tho I might have blue-colored glasses for the guy because he made one of my top ten favorite Bomber plays.
  4. on top of his monster passing numbers, Rourke shocked me with his breakaway running. Dude can gallop and he turned a lot of broken plays into first downs or better. Rourke is the MOP. I was questioning the decision to throw away VAJ in favor of Rourke ... but that definitely appears to have been the correct call.
  5. Vaval has four touchdowns and 11 returns of more than 30 yards and is tied for second in punt return average (12.8, behind Wooten's 15.0) ... the CFL does not track individual fumble stats but I'm pretty sure that Vaval nets out to a positive ...
  6. Back in the Cold Wars days, the CIA had a bunch of deep minds working in a field called "Kremlinology" which was about figuring out the true objectives and dynamics of the Soviet Union. The Soviets, being a secretive bunch, didn't talk a lot about their true feelings or objectives. They would have a message and they would stick to it. And so the Kremlinologists would have to read between the lines and use the tiniest tidbits, such as the arrangements of chairs or portraits in meetings, the positions of the soviet officials on parade, the scheduling and location of meetings, etc, to do their analysis. In the end, they found that most of their analysis wasn't super useful and was just about people looking for confirmation of their existing opinions. Today, I feel like some people are doing Oshology.
  7. what about blocking? is that not coached?
  8. why? he seems to have coached up Peterson pretty nice.
  9. Nice play call on MCI's big run. Whole Als secondary was lured to the other side of the field.
  10. Thanks for the memories, and may your recovery be fast and smooth, Strev. 🫡
  11. Yeah, Tony Jones selling out for the pass again.
  12. Brady isn't dressing.
  13. was there serious reporting that indicated that there was some kind of disconnect?
  14. I thought it was some kind of Candyman thing where you say you are frustrated with the Bombers three times and this youtube video suddenly appears.
  15. I think we are one-and-done in the playoffs regardless of who we play and I will be delighted to eat this post for breakfast if we are not.
  16. Only thing I know about the playoffs is that if Montreal doesn't leapfrog the Ticats and BC slides into the crossover spot, the Lions / Als ESF is gonna be an absolute slobberknocker.
  17. plus Streveller starting his very first game as a rookie while Nichols was banged up ...
  18. creampuff solidarity. ain't gonna root for that guy even if he is wearing the most perfect laundry on earth.
  19. VAJ playing like it's the middle of July.
  20. back in the day I was friends of friends with a bunch of ER nurses from the big trauma hospital in town, the one that pulls all the really gnarly **** .. got to party with them fairly regularly ... and damn those ladies had some funny stories to tell ... but if my life were on the line I'd be glad to be in their hands. was hanging out with some American submariners in the aftermath of that billionaire imploding himself at the Titanic ... their jokes were funny as hell but were very very dark.
  21. This isn't really about the merits of the team or any particular outcome, it's just running the numbers. There's 12 games left, so there's 531,441 (3^12) different scenarios that could happen. In slightly under half of those scenarios, the bombers host a playoff game.
