A semi pro league doesn't pay anybody half a million dollars to throw a football... CFL is legit.

Wouldn't mind going after Freddie Bishop III, as well as hopefully Bilukidi. If we got Bishop, Bilukidi, Harris and Heenan I'd be pretty stoked

I have my opinion on who I want them to hire... but at the end of the day, Ill root for whoever they pick weather it be Lapo, Khari, Cortez, Brady or Maas.... Until they give me a reason not too.

Would have been nice to get him. Having two star Canadians would be a good step toward building a legit contender.

How can you say that given that he's never played more than a handful of snaps at HB? The "IMO" suggests that its my opinion. I base that opinion off of what I think his skill set is. That's what this board is for correct? to form opinions and have discussions about our favorite sports team? I understand it's your opinion. I was asking how you came to form that opinion, seen as how he's never played the position before. didn't we recently have a conversation about this... Sorry, I missed the conversation...

Isn't SAM a very similar position to HB? and Hefney never played the position before either before he came to the CFL... and IM pretty sure Leggett's never played SAM before either and he was pretty good there to say the least.... I came to that conclusion based on several factors... Another one is how he blankets guys when he covers them... He's a very smart football player, and knows how to cover well, read plays well and play the ball very well... The way Mike phrased the question really seemed like he was out to make me look like a moron, which is why naturally I got defensive.

I think Leggett is our best DBack though. Washington is very athletic but I'd like to see our best football player in that position. Leggett would be a great HB IMO

If we got him for 150 That's a great deal for us.... would love to have him at that price!

I'd like to keep Randle at SAM. Rough start but was Dominant after that. I think Leggett moves to HB in place of Washington and we let Demond walk. Waggoner moves to safety

I think he will command that kind of coin and I agree he's sure not as dominant anymore. I think it depends on a lot of factors, like Cap space and who else is available. If we had a legitimate shot at Heenan for example and had to choose between Harris and Heenan, I'd go after Heenan for sure. Harris has had plenty of contracts and plenty of chances to not sign in BC and come to WPG. But he chose to spend all his good years in Vancouver. I'd still go after him though. He's still a fairly good RB and is a Canadian... But I wouldn't throw boat loads and boat loads of cash at him just because he's a Winnipeger.

I don't know that Wild would be very good in the middle of this particular scheme. Hall will have to re-write a lot of it and adjust what he does based on new personnel next year IMO. I'd like to move Bass to the middle and have a Barron Simpson type role. Wild has more speed and his pursuit angles are just as good as Bass'. He's also better in coverage. I just think he's much more suited to WLB. But we need a dominant DL that eats up all the blocks and still generates pressure all on its own to be able to have that set up. I have even more respect for Richie now, because he recognized our DL ahead of time would need help eating up blocks and generating pressure so he made Hurl that guy. Having a DL that can command all the blocks and still produce results is the key to having a dominant defense. I really hope Walters makes that a priority and is successful with it this year.

Burris didn't have multiple shoulder injuries. Also, we did try to get Burris.Of course he didn't. He is the most durable quarterback perhaps ever to play in the CFL. Hey we could have used a guy like that.And yes we tried to get Burris. Until he got offered more money, then we gave up. Great. Now Ottawa won as many games this year as we have the last 2 combined but I'm sure glad the Bombers saved that money on Burris. Really helps me sleep at night. You would actually rather have Burris right now than Willy?

Why not? When Willy was healthy last year he lead the league in yards till he had to play hurt... just watching the guy play you can tell he's special. Super accurate with just the right touch on the ball. I think he's right up there with Harris and Mitchell. Only guy who's clearly better is Collaros. Wait till he has an OC. You will see
