Maybe I'm crazy but I don't see what's worth getting excited about there. His best linebacker is gone to the NFL and the pass rush was terrible all last year. Prioritizing linebackers and pass rushers shouldn't be anything ground breaking, it's just plain old common sense. I just hope they recruit better in those positions last year than they did this year. They had pretty poor defensive linemen in training camp last year so they need to actually do a better job this year. Yes, I agree... but it seems that the past few years we have all been bitching about problems with the roster and coaches/GM's of the team seemed to ignore it.... Now they're finally being addressed. Plus, last year was far from a traditional CFL defense.

Meh, I don't think he's a tweener... I think he'll make a very good back up at SS and Special Teamer for any NFL team...

If I had it my way I'd sign Bryant, Heenan, Holmes and Wojt.... But it just doesnt work that way

Makes me excited that he's looking to upgrade Pass rushers and MLB, WLB in more of a traditional CFL defense sense! loved hearing that from our GM OL being the Number one priority makes me pretty happy as well. Huge Kyle Walters fan so far.

I don't get the fascination with tying up 2nd WR money on a 3rd import WR in free agency, unless we're going 4 imports at receiver. And we can't do that unless we go at least 4 NI's on our OL. If we can protect the QB with 4+ NI's on our OL, AND play 4 import wideouts, we'll be amazing this year. I doubt Ellingson or Chiles would command very much coin. Neither of them hit 1000 yards and both are import receivers.

Getting Heenan and Bryant would give us the best set of OT's since 2007. I think/hope we get a good WR as well, if we did that our offence would rival the one of 07 in my mind. I also wouldn't mind Marcellous back at WILL at the right price. But I'm not sure that happens...

I don't really want Jackson as much as Ellingson or Chiles. I'd be alright with it at the right price though obviously.

I doubt we land Heenan... I think Holmes is more likely, but I'm starting to doubt that as well.... Wouldn't mind Ellingson and getting Marty Bowman back. Maybe Wojt if he's healthy.

I know Henoc was around a 4.72 and he was plenty fast for MLB. 34 inch vert and 34 bench reps is pretty crazy for a MLB. He could probably take on OL in this league... Unless of course he just focused on bench and vert for his pro day

Huff really made the best of a weak draft last year... Quinn Smith and Pierre Lavertu in the same draft is pretty crazy. Plus the off/unlikely chance of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif ever coming to the CFL

I think Kohlert's better right now, but he has had a lot more opportunity. However, if Kohlert was given more responsibility I think he would be more productive. But we're not going to move him inside with Denmark, Moore and a healthy Watson at Slot. It's just not going to happen.

I think by the time Watson gets injured, Durant will be ready to be a starter. Not sure who I want the Bombers to pick now... There's a lot of good ones this draft

what about Waud/Durant/Varga at 2 and Chungh at 11? I don't think Chungh is worth 2nd overall, but I think I'd be interested at 11.

You've finally lost it. Morley may be nearing the end and we can see that Neufeld has trouble staying healthy, other than that you couldn't be more wrong. Picard is still a top 3 centre in the league (Brett Jones will be NFL next year, other two in the top 3 would be Luc B-J and Jeff Keeping) and doesn't appear to be close to letting that go. As far as Goossen being ready to start.... are you kidding??? Did you actually watch him play? He needs more time, how much more time will depend on how he has grown this offseason. But he's not there yet. And to say Greaves is coming off a horrendous season is a joke. He wasn't great but in my opinion he was our most consistent OL last year. Time to re-evaluate your opinion JBR because I don't know where you're getting this stuff. I wouldn't say Greaves had a horrendous year, but I'd say his spot is not locked up... the guy certainly didn't impress anyone. And Neufeld is a Tackle first IMO. his a finess type that has good technique, But fails to get good push against the bigger stronger DT's on the interior. Picard is way over rated, and Goosen won't make a good Guard. as an injury fill in, sure he's adequate. We have way to many failed Tackles turned interior OL on this team, and it really showed last year. Why should we add another? If there are no good Guards worthy of number 2 overall, then go with Varga, Demski, Durant, or Waud and draft a good Guard at number 11. Only way we shouldn't pick a Guard this year in the draft is if we land one of Holmes or Heenan... and we are not the first destination for either of those guys it appears.

I'd hate it if we take Groulx... as far as Im concerned we dont have ANY good Gaurds... Get a couple Americans at T, and worry about fixing the interior of the OL.

Twitter announced Etch was the Bombers DC like a month before the official announcement. and this time last week we thought Hall was a guarantee because of Twitter...... But no one said it was done. Once Lawless/Penton/Madani tweet: "have learned Bombers have hired______as their DC", that's official enough for me. I don't know, I only really trust Tait... You vastly overrate Sherman. He's a Winnipeg boy so it'd be nice to see him do well, but his role on a good team should be as a rotational player at best. He just isn't starting material. meh, I think some more development time could help him improve to the point where he is starting material.

I'm hoping Walters is smart and goes hard after Holmes while everyone else is frothing over Heenan. If we do have a legit shot at Heenan, then sure, take it... but unless Picard and Neufeld are telling him otherwise, I seriously doubt Heenan comes here.
