Ok... And then you totally contradict yourself. Sorry, but fear-mongering on Harper is promoting an agenda, whether you want to admit it or not.

LOL? That quote is exactly right. Especially with what we know of Harper for 10+ years. We know what Harper has done...and people still want to vote for him? That is what is irrational. LOL indeed. Mr. Dee is trying to do what the BC NDP tried and failed to do in our election here in BC. Say nothing about what your party is going to do differently, and just point at the other guy and say "he's bad so vote for me". That doesn't work. Especially when you are the NDP, and you come with the stink of all of those failed provincial governments wafting all around you.

Well the Libs really had no competition in the 90's, That and they balanced the books and the economy was Web 1.0 After Quebec 4 years ago and Alberta this year I can see the NDP winning. Okay so im looking at the polls too. Would mean a major shift towards younger voters. Alberta's provincial election was a special case - the right was fractured and allowed the NDP to come up the middle. It was the same reason why the Liberals always won elections in the 1990's. The federal landscape is completely different. The NDP may win second place in a lot of ridings in Alberta, but that and $5 gets you a latte at Starbucks.

I've disagreed with a lot of Harper's policies over the years, but on the whole I still think he was the better choice than who he was up against in 2011. I think Jack Layton should have disclosed he was dying, as it would have affected the polls significantly, and it should have. If he had disclosed that there was a good chance he wasn't going to be around within six months after the election the NDP might have been spanked down a lot, especially in Quebec. Anyway, that aside, one of the worst moves Harper made in my opinion was lowering the GST. If he had kept it at 7% instead of 5%, we'd have $14 billion more in tax revenue coming in right now that would erase a lot of deficits and pay for a lot of programs, especially veterans, who get a raw deal, no matter who is in government. I wouldn't mind if the NDP raised the GST by a point, if it meant they stopped mucking around with corporate tax rates. Don't fix what isn't broken NDP, especially considering the NDP know almost nothing about corporate entities, or economics for that matter.

Biggest Regret as a Bomber Fan

Is she hot? I agree we need pics here. She was very HOT! In addition, usually drunk by half time. The perfect combo. Skinny and drunk with big ****, that kind of perfect combo. BUT Nooooooooo, I had some morals. I had some ethics. I was a complete idiot. Now I'm just stuck reminding myself of her from time to time when, well you know. All of that AND a Bomber/football fan? You found the Great White Buffalo! http://youtu.be/Nl6__lNxh-M -
Jace Daniels was injured on last game also. I saw him limping (can remember which foot) and waving to the sidelines asking for substituion but he then goes back to the line and played thru it. Shades of the Cal Murphy days..there was no injury a bit of tape couldn't fix.

Biggest Regret as a Bomber Fan

So you haven't had a drink since 1990? That's hardcore man. Respect. No I wish. I didn't celebrate the win properly as I thought the Bombers were just going to keep winning Cups so it didn't matter if I didnt go ape-****. The 80's spoiled me. -
LOL! Classic. Just don't show Noeller. He hates gifs.

Yeah I wish they would stop those stupid ads. The Conservatives have so much money to spend, they have to do it somehow. Too bad it's not on something positive.

Not getting ****-faced after the 1990 Grey Cup because I thought I would wait until the next Cup to really tie one on. -
why, because it caught you by surprise? It's not like we haven't already been watching election ads now for two months already.

In my riding in West Kelowna, you could run a road-kill squirrel as a Conservative, and it would win by 6,000 votes. Kind of like those NDP candidates in Quebec last election that won, despite not speaking French or ever being in the riding. Canadian politics is a funny business. So my point is, it doesn't matter who I vote for, my MP will be Conservative. Unless there is a split on the right, I don't see much changing in the way the voting goes this election.

If you lived in Manitoba during the reign of terror of Howard Pawley, no one could ever accuse anyone of fearing an NDP government of being "irrational". I do like Mulcair though, he's the best they've had in a long time, if you are looking at an experienced leader who actually cares about pulling the party to the middle. I just don't trust all of the crap that is beneath and behind him in that party. Far too much union influence and money. If you look at most of the current NDP policy, you can see the big union dirty fingers all over it. National Daycare plan? Gee, I wonder how much the HEU is salivating over that one. And pumping hundreds of millions into Canada Post to bring back door to door mail delivery to a bunch of lazy bums who whine and complain? Give me a break. Talk about the CUPW bozos just bending over the Canadian taxpayer on that one. It just goes on and on. NDP - should be NFW.

Rider fans calling Willy a great pocket passer
kelownabomberfan replied to bb1's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
yeah hind-sight is always 20-20. Willy wanted to start, but he's not going to beat out Durant. Such is how the cookie crumbles. Durant stays healthy this year and the Riders are probably 3-3 right now. -

Week 6 other games, other teams
kelownabomberfan replied to Fatty Liver's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
yeah what the hell was that about? All the Stamps had to do was down the ball and run out the clock, and instead they do this weird back pass thing - what would have happened if Fuller had missed the ball and it had bounced around in the end zone? Montreal could have jumped on it and scored a TD. I don't get it. hufnagel picked montreal to cover the spread on his sport select ticket so he needed to concede the safety to win That one seems to make the most sense. -
he was re-drafted by the Islanders in 2014. He's currently playing in the ECHL. The league of last resort.

Well said. I would like to see a minority though, the Conservatives need to be slapped down, they've grown too arrogant for my tastes.
-
Of course I did, because the NDP sucks. Just because people seem to hate Harper doesn't mean we should just hand over the government to the evil scumbags at the NDP. Change is fine, but the change must be to something better, not worse. Step out or step in, it won't matter. We sit diametrically opposed I guess, though I won't cry if Harper loses, while I know you'll be crying crocodile tears if your beloved NDP goes down to the flaming defeat it so rightfully deserves.

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
kelownabomberfan replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
was that the one where he reported that Mack was being fired, and the board looked like idiots because they weren't releasing the news? -
... such that Harper is the best of a pretty bad lot. There is no proof in that statement..just opinion. There is more than enough evidence to show that Harper is a morally corrupt leader and someone we shouldn't settle for because of prejudices against the other parties. I don't usually comment in politics...but that particular person just has to go. Well then I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I could say that your comments are just opinion too, but then you'd just waste my time with a bunch of political babble-speak cut and pasted from NDP propaganda organs, which is just garbage and lies as much as anything coming out of the Conservatives. If it is a Liberal minority I won't mind either, I just can't stand the NDP. They are a disease on Canadian politics.
