as well, pretty much every election campaign ever has demonstrated, polls taken this far from the actual election date are completely meaningless. Look at our own election. If the polls before the election were any indication of what was going to happen, we'd be talking about Prime Minister Mulcair right now. Instead, by the end of the battle, the NDP was down big time, and his party's polling around 10-15% right now. The Liberals stepped in and stole a big chunk of their voters, purely out of the desire to get rid of Harper. Trudeau started the election at a distant third. I want to see Trump and Hillary on the same stage. That will be an epic battle. Evil vs more Evil.

Is that all? Hell that's not even the size of one year of Trudeau deficit. Perhaps Justin should be a consultant on this project.

not sure when you know if someone is "ready" or not. Watching the Jets "Young Stars" games in Penticton last September I'd have said that none of them were ready, as they all played awful. But here we have Ehlers, Kosmachuk, Petan, De Leo, Morrissey and Hellebuyck all playing up this year and contributing. Petan actually looked pretty good last night, but of course, he was playing against Vancouver's farm team, and an extremely lethargic-looking Sedin twin combo. Anyway, given I've never seen Poolman play I am in no position to judge his readiness. Perhaps he will surprise in TC, though I know if he's an RHD he's already going to be cursed as we apparently need LHD only.

Poolman (love that name) plays for North Dakota. They play Northeastern first, while Connor and Michigan take on Notre Dame. It will be interesting to see if Michigan can win it all. It would be great if Poolman can find a spot on the roster, he's another big kid. Myers, Melch and Poolman - now there's some size on the blue line. No more smurfs on D.

They should have sent the Canucks home early and just had the Jets play the Winnipeg Blues. At least they would have tried. Were the Sedins even playing? I don't know if I saw them even register a shot. Just brutal effort. The creaking you heard was the last few Canucks fans jumping off of the bandwagon.

I doubt it too. I also never thought that Buffalo would trade Stafford, Myers, Lemieux, Armia and a first rounder for Kane and Bogosian. Weird things happen sometimes.

I've seen at least one poster say that Tkachuk is no good and that he is over-rated. Several times. Anyway, I do get that we have more pressing issues elsewhere. My desire to see Tkachuk drafted isn't just about him being a great player (and he is) it's about having another Tkachuk playing for us. Nostalgia.

Tkachuk is over-rated. Because he plays with good players. Apparently Motte and Compher are total broken down bums that Connor has to carry on his shoulders while skating through entire teams and potting goals single-handedly. I was wondering why all of his goals are unassisted. EDIT - I see that Motte is a pick of the Blackhawks - should have tacked him on with Dano instead of taking that 2018 pick. Connor and Motte together again!

Glad we didn't disrupt the tank by accidentally scoring in the OT period. That second goal was a classic example of why I want Enstrom off this team. Silfverberg just skates up to Enstrom and takes the puck off of his stick like he's taking candy from a baby. Not acceptable.

Currently sitting in SeaTac airport waiting to connect to New Orleans. I will watch next week. All I can say is that I wouldn't have Enstrom on my team. But that's me.
