  1. Jones clearly says “Win with some class.” And sources have confirmed that’s exactly what the 48-year-old coach said. http://3downnation.com/2016/08/13/chris-jones-exchanges-words-dave-dickenson-stamps-victory/
  2. Doesn't Willy always wear his helmet on the sidelines?
  3. Well that's just because they don't understand the CFL ratio rules like this guy.
  4. yup and I still remember the "Oh no I'm going to die" look on Willy's face when Thomas came into the game at guard...
  5. is Logan Stanley going back to junior? Or will he stick with the Moose?
  6. Milt miracle #2 coming up?
  7. wow Toronto has five Nationals on their OL. How did they pull that off? Gives them a lot of roster flexibility on defense.
  8. Orridge has his salary covered now for the year at least. Good to see the circus has finally left town and moved west to the armpit of Canada.
  9. Taylor Ruck with another medal!
  10. This almost has a feel of pro wrestling to it, calling out the panel and the panel responding. And when I say pro wrestling, I mean that this feels almost manufactured.
  11. Apparently Burris continued ranting after the game about the TSN panel. I can't find what he said. Is it available anywhere?
  12. I'll narrow that down even more - Manitoba women are the best. When I was in Mexico on a Bust loose trip while still in University, the contingent of Manitoba girls there could out-drink all the other women and most of the men from the rest of Canada. They were a pretty tough bunch who could out-party anybody.
  13. I think drinking is part of all of their favorite sports, rather than a separate sport. You can't have soccer hooliganism without excessive drunken-ness.
  14. Second favorite sport is soccer hooliganism. Rugby and darts are next.
  15. Barry Melrose too - big time broadcaster now for LA. He played in Winnipeg for a few years, and broke his jaw if memory serves. He came out to speak at one of our hockey team banquets one year, which was really cool. I remember being disappointed only because we had heard that Dave Christian was coming out and we were all ga-ga over the US Olympic team knocking off the Russians for the gold in 1980.
  16. i remember in the 1980's the Jets had their "Goals for Kids" program where local businesses would contribute a certain amount of money to kids charities for every goal scored by a certain player. Mario Marois was sponsored by Fancy Ass jeans. I still remember the look on his face when he had to go up and shake their hands at the press conference, the look on his face of WTF kind of name is that was priceless.
  17. he wasn't unconscious? I don't think there's enough evidence to judge either way.
  18. ha I just met Fran Huck last year at a winery opening, he's a lawyer here now. I must admit though I had heard of him, I had a "young guy" moment like some here are having about the 1980's Jets and didn't fully appreciate it. I told an older guy I knew from Winnipeg that Fran Huck was at the opening and he just about fell over, he was so excited to run over and meet him.
  19. Andrew Harris
  20. Technically Morris Lukowich is our WHA guy. He played longer in the WHA then Wayne did.
  21. I don't remember that fight but I remember when Kyte "fought" Dave Brown, when he viciously attacked Brown's fist with his glass jaw and went down in a crumpled heap, at which point the lunatic Brown kept punching him despite the fact that it was obvious Kyte was unconscious. Actually kind of scary as it didn't look like Brown was going to stop. I remember I was watching this game in Calgary with some Oiler fans, and when Brown started punching Kyte while he was lying defenceless they started saying "He's starting his lawn-mower on him!!"
  22. All right Noeller.. Don't play the laughing boy. There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.
  23. what's with all of these famous Taylor's from Kelowna? Taylor Kitsch, Taylor Loffler and now Taylor Ruck, winning bronze in swimming for Canada. She's my buddie's grand-niece so he's super pumped that she won a medal, they've been following her swimming for a long time.
  24. I assume the one you recognized was Selanne. So that means you had never heard of Dale Hawerchuk? Dave Babych? Thomas Steen? ?????????
