Speaking of which, here's the logo of our WHL team: That's Ogopogo. Apparently. Holding a hockey stick. What that has to do with "Rockets" I don't know. Our team mascot is Rockie the Racoon. I assume his name is Rockie because of the Rockets. Not sure why he's a racoon. What any of this has to do with hockey is beyond me, other than the hockey stick Ogopogo is holding I guess. And yes, they smoke a lot of weed here.

For me it's all about injuries. Keep Nichols, Harris and Loffler upright, and we're competitive against any team in the league this year, including Calgary.

Just read the article by Ed Tait on Faith, our first overall pic. Here's a picture of him and his wife. Sounds like a really great young man. Here's hoping he's here to stay for a long long time in Bomber blue.

Yeah I'm not seeing how Lundquist is the big money goalie he's been made out to be, that last goal to Turris was ridiculous. Pavelec even would have made that save.

All that being said, I know a few doctors and they say there's lot that could be fixed with our current system, if the political will was there to do it. Unfortunately, anybody who even mentions changing our current system is pilloried immediately, and so it's just politically safer to do nothing, and just keep the spending taps open. I lived in Australia for a year, and I definitely think their private/public hybrid system is better than ours, in terms of wait times and quality. But that's just my observation. People there seem pretty happy with their system.

I think we're seeing the end of the San Jose and Washington core. Both teams have managed to keep the same cast of characters together for years now and it's just been years of failure. I thought with Letang out and having played a long playoffs and WC of Hockey that the Pens would be tired, and this would be Washington's year. With that pathetic showing last night, it's clear, Ovechkin isn't a leader, the Caps have no character and changes need to be made. Now Ottawa, there's a team with character. Wow.

by the time Cal Foote is ready for prime time we'll be low on RHD too. I think the Jets need to go and get some LHD in free agency to address the immediate needs. And dump Enstrom's salary.
